Matthew dropped me off home. I unlocked the door and my mom asked me a bunch of questions considering I'd only known those people for a day and then I slept over their house.
"She's kissing boys!!!" Giovanni and Isaac said
"Oh my god shut up" I said rolling my eyes. That time, it was necessary.
"Mia, they're just teasing" she said while shooing them to their room.
"I have news..." She trailed off
"And that is?" I said nervous about what'd she say. Hopefully she'd say dad got fired or didn't like work so that we can go back to California.
"We're having a baby!" My mom said clapping her hands together.
"Another, great" I said walking to my room.
Honestly, I didn't want another Brooks running around here. My mom and dad can barely keep up with Giovanni and Isaac, it's pretty sad. Plus they're like 38 years old. I texted Georgia the news and we talked for a little.
*monday*
It's been a week since I've been at school. Georgia, Katie, and Nina are like my best friends now. I finally woke up and I guess I slept a little too long because I only had 13 minutes to get ready. I quickly got my uniform on and put on my make up. I put on some mascara, counselor, eyeliner, eye shadow, and blush. I fixed my eyebrows and put my hair in a high pony tail.
For some reason people always talked to me, was it because Matt was my friend? People labeled me as popular. Although, I didn't think that. I got on the bus and sat by Nina. Katie and Georgia got dropped off by their parents. I saw Matthew and Cameron and his friend carter, but I'd rather sit by Nina and I wasn't really close to carter.
The bus finally stopped at our school and Nina and I waited for Matt, Cameron, and carter. We met up with Georgia and Katie at the front gate and we walked in together.
"hi Mia!" A girl said, she looked like a freshman.
"Uh hi" I waved awkward. We all separated, me, Nina, and Matt went to Spanish, Katie and carter went to pe, Georgia and cam went to history.
"Matt, what'd you get on number 3" I whispered
"Oh, did you expect me to do it?" He joked.
I groaned a little too loud.
"Oh I'm sorry ms. Brooks, is this lesson a little to easy? Why don't you come up front and read is this.. In Spanish" mr. Waters, the teacher said.
"I wasn't eve-"
"Now! Ms. Brooks"
I rolled my eyes and got up to the front.
I read the paragraph and went back to my seat. "Next time you groan or talk, you'll be sent to the office, got it" he said sternly. I nodded my head a giggled a little.
"You're cute when you speak Spanish" Matthew said, I could feel the smirk on his face. I blushed a little and took notes.
*lunch*
Nina and I had all our classes together. So we went to wait for the others. While we were waiting a girl passed us, she looked my grade level. She mouthed to me 'kill yourself' what did I do to her? It put me in a really bad mood, a sad mood. And when I'm sad, I just keep quiet. Soon Matt, Katie, Georgia, cam, and carter were here.
I got my lunch which was a bean and cheese burrito. I sat there playing with it with my spork. "What's wrong" Matt said poking me. I pushed his hand down but he kept poking me and asking what's wrong, so did everyone else.
Matt's POV
I could tell something wasn't wrong with Mia. She was always so happy. She was so talkative, but not today. I needed to talk to her. "Mia, babe, come here" I said pulling her outside.
Mia's POV
Matt pulled me outside the cafeteria. "Mia what's wrong" he said with his hands on my shoulder. Soon enough tears were rolling down my eyes, the incident was just re playing in my head. My mascara was running down and Matt pulled me in for a hug. "Mia, please tell me what's going on" he said still hugging me. He held my hand and we sat on a bench.
He moved me on his lap. He was the bestest friend ever. "Now tell me what's wrong?" He said staring me in the eyes. "This girl, she t-told me to k-kill mys-myself" I said with tears in my eyes. "Mia!" Matt said like he was about to cry "Mia why didn't you tell us, who is this girl so I can tell Georgia to knock some sense into her" he said. I giggled at how mad he was. It was cute.
We stood up and He pulled me in for another hug. I was on my tippy toes and he was looking me in the eyes. He put his arms on my waist and my arms snaked around his neck. We're we going to kiss! No! Matt doesn't like me like that. He thinks of me as a friend. I let go and saw kids taking videos and pictures. I ran back into the cafeteria to our table. "I'm fine guys" I said while sitting down.
Matthew came back in and smiled at me. He walked back to our table but before he could the girl who told me to kill myself grabbed him and was making out with him. Were they dating? How did I not know? He pulled away and walked back to his seat.
The bell rang and I immediately got up not even waiting for them. I got on the bus and sat by the window, this boy named jack gilinsky sat by me. "What's wrong with you?" He said "oh uhm nothimg" I said fake laughing. He was talking with his friend across from him which I'm assuming was his girlfriend because they were all touchy touchy.
Soon Matt, Nina, cam, and carter came on. They all looked me. I turned my head looking out the window. Nina sat by carter and Matt and cam sat together. "Mia?" Matt said. "Not-not now Matthew" I said getting off the bus as it had arrived at my stop.
I could here Matt sigh but I ignored it. I was happy he had a girlfriend, or so I thought, because what stranger walks up to you and makes out with you. Well actually I would if it was like Justin bieber or Ariana grande. Yes, I'd make out with Ariana grande because she my bae.
I got a text from Matt.
