Buzz Buzz Buzz
"Ugh,"I groan.
I pick up my I phone 5s gold and slide the screen to the left to check my voice mail. My phone has been ringing for the past five minutes but it's a Saturday and I planned to sleep in. I open up my voice mail and see it's from my best friend Clair.

"Shit," I mumble under my breath.

I completely forgot about my best friends birthday and now I'm going to get in huge trouble. I open her contact and try to call her. After just one ring she immediately picked up.
"Hey best friend!"
"Hi Amy. You are in loads of trouble you know," Clair says with a small hint of sass.
Okay maybe be it was a huge dose of sass but it is her birthday, so I choose to ignore it.

"I'm sorry for wanting to sleep in. How about if I take you to a party tonight?" I say hoping to get a no or not even.

"Finally, my little ham is getting up and wanting to go to a party. And socialize with actual human beings!"

I could clearly hear the tone in her voice that makes you feel like you are 5 again.

"So, where are we going?"

"Slow down bud, we are throwing one at your house," I say "Or maybe the lake house!"

We both squeal and quickly regret it. Or at least I do and I stop talking then. I hang up and settle on the lake house. I decide to throw a surprise party for Claire.

I stopped by her house and walked straight in. I walked up the smooth hardwood stairs and end up falling in the 2nd to last step.

Bam

"Ow!" I say as a try to lift myself up.

"Hello?" I hear a voice that I recognize as Claire say.

She pokes her head at the stairway and notices me fallen on the ground.

"Oh My God, Amy!"

"Hey, a little help?" I say as I reach my hand out.

She pulled me up and started dragging me to the living room. I sat down on the white couch in the living room and she sat down next to me.

"So, Clair I need your phone," I say in a convincing voice. Or so I think.

"Okay," she says as if it didn't really matter to her. "If I can get your phone in return."

I handed over my phone and she handed me hers.

"I will se you HERE tonight for the party, okay?" I say to her knowing she would agree. She nodded her head and I left out the door with an Oreo of course. I ate the Oreo on the way back to my house.

Planning. Okay what to do for a 21st birthday party. That's easy. Beer. Alcohol. A DJ. Lots of people. I grab Clair's phone from off of my dresser drawer. I swipe the screen to the right and went to her contacts. Whoa she has a lot of friends. I thought to myself. I decided it was easiest to start a group chat with everyone on her list except family and me. Since she has my phone she can't know about the plan. I sent out a text to the group.

Me: Hey guys! Anyone up for a party?

Liam: Yeahhhhhh

MacKenzie: sure thing

Kim: who wouldn't be?

Louis: you know it

Zayn: YEAHHH

Nialler: sure thing

Lana: yep yep and yep

Hailey: yes ma'am

Charlie: of course babes

And so on, you get the point. After a load of messages from mostly people I know, a final one pops up.

Harry Legs: where at

Me: it's going to be at a lake house I will text the address but we need it to be a surprise.

Harry: for who

Geez this guy isn't so into it I get it!

Me: Claire. I am her friend throwing her a surprise party.

Niall: Aye man, if you don't want to come then don't.

Sarah: yeah Harry. Stop asking so many questions it's a yes or no question

Harry: Geez guys chill

I don't get this guy to be completely honest. I started thinking if roles everybody could do to get this party done as fast as it could.

Me: Okay I need your help:
Leprechaun; Make a lot of Jell-O shots
Sarah; I need you to get a DJ to come. I'll pay
Liam; get beer and lots of it
Mackenzie; pick up a rental limo so we can all fit in one ride and still be able to call it back when we leave.
Zayn; I need you to get disco lights.
Hailey; get the regular shots done
Tommo; get all of your friends here

I went on with the list and hit down to the final two.

Me: And finally I need Charlie and Harry on the lookout.

All: Got it!
