The story starts of with Steven playing on his GameCube. He's mashing buttons as fast as he can sense he fighting the final boss.

"YESS! Finally it only took me all day, but I finally beat Space Animals," Steven shouted in excitement, "HEY GUYS!"

Steven ran down the stairs and observed the temple to realize that none of the gems seemed to be present.

"Where could they be?" Steven mumbled.

Steven looked to his right and sees a giant navy blue tower that touched the clouds and glared it's color deep within his pupils.

"What is that?" Steven said in amazement.

Steven dashed outside and found the gems staring at the enormous tower with awe and worry. He quickly ran toward them. Steven was standing right next to Pearl whose mouth was wide open.

"Where do you think it came from?" Amethyst asked.

"I-I have...no idea," Pearl responded.

It was obvious that Pearl was afraid of whatever this tower was. That what ever was inside there Pearl knew would lead to imminent death. Then they all looked at Garnet to she if she knew what this mysterious tower was.

Garnet looked at the others and back at the tower and made inference from previous encounters.

"I've seen something like this before some gems have the power to summon giant structures designed to protect them," Garnet concluded, "We're going to have to climb to the top."

Steven shouted, "But I don't think I'm able to climb that high...I MIGHT GET CRAMPS!"

Garnet looked at Steven who currently had worried and innocent eyes and chuckled lightly.

"Don't worry Steven I can carry you," Garnet had insisted.

The gems enter the tower very cautiously since they were not entirely sure what to expect from this new infrastructure. However, instantly some of the security kicked in and the doors shut and the walls started to shoot lasers. Steven summoned his shield out of shear luck and used it to protect the gems from the laser fire. The only way they could escape was to bust through the door that led to the stairs. As such, Steven had guided the other gems to the blocked off stairwell allowing Garnet to smash the barrier open, and the gems went up the stairs to the next supposedly empty room.

Amethyst: This is harder then I imagined.

Steven: Maybe a fusion might help.

Pearl: I don't think there's any threats to make us fuse...yet?

Pearl was very nervous about this tower she had no idea what it was.

Pearl: Well umm...lets go.

The team went up over 300 floors fending off traps, tower guardians, and falling floors. Until they finally reached the top. Atop the giant tower was a throne that held a mysterious corrupted gem that looked like a bird that had an blue gem on its shoulder.

Garnet: Ok gems get ready!

All the gems including Steven summoned their weapons. The bird gem started to fly in the air. Pearl began shooting her lasers; however the bird easily dodged all the shoots. The bird then began firing Crystal arrows and Steven used his shield to block them. Garnet then gets tossed in the air being held by Amethysts whip and punched the bird gem in the face. The bird had became furious and charged a massive arrow that it fired at its puny targets smashing them to the bottom floor.
All the gems besides Steven and Pearl got poofed sense the arrow hit Garnet and Amethyst head on. Pearl looking now quite beat up knew it was up to her to beat the bird. The bird landed on the ground ready to strike, so Pearl charged at the bird. She started slashing her spear at the creature...but it had no affect. The bird gem just flapped it wings pushing Pearl back with its viscous winds. She turned toward Steven watching him looking at his phone.

Pearl shouted, "Steven what are you doing we are in the middle of danger!"

Steven replied, "I know I'm calling backup."

Pearl looked a Steven with confusion. She didn't understand what backup he could possibly be talking about.

She questioned, "What do you mean by backup?"

Steven looked at Pearl and smiled with excitement "I'm going to ask The Collector to help us!"

Pearl moved back and nudged against the wall. She was completely disgusted with the idea.

Pearl had to say something to Steven, but all she could say, "you mean that that...ugh!"

Steven replied with a stern voice, "Yes...he might not be as bad as you think."

Steven quickly dialed his number and he answered within one ring.

The Collector said, "I'll be there as soon as I can."

Steven had smiled and ended the call only to realize that the bird was starting to walk closer to Steven and Pearl ready to eat them. Steven hung tightly onto Pearl and she also held on to Steven tightly. The bird opened its mouth ready to swallow them whole. Then the bird just flew backwards crashing on the sand. Steven gasped and grew a huge smile when he saw The Collector appear out of the blinding gust of sand.

The Collector snarked, "looks like your dinner plans have been rescheduled...now...your my dinner."

The bird obviously wasn't going to go down easy, and it started to shoot out a gust of wind. This pushed the collector to the wall accidentally sandwiching Steven.

The Collector panics, "Oh sorry Steven. Hmmm it looks like I'm going to need to be a bit bigger."

Steven gasped once again because he knew exactly what he meant. He then looked at Pearl encouraging her to fuse with him. Pearl started to get squeamish and was not interested to do this task.

She said, "You don't mean-."

The Collector interrupted in the middle of her sentence.

The Collector said, "I'm Going To Fuse!"

Pearl backed away thinking he was going to try to fuse with her.

The Collector laughed at the thought of fusing with her and said, "Don't worry I'm not fusing with you."

Pearl was relieved but now very curious about how he was going to fuse. However she didn't wait long to see the collector grabbed 2 green gems out of his bag. One of the green gems shaped like a square attached to the back of his hand thanks to his gold belt. However he tied string around the other circular gem. He started swinging the gem around making it glow as well as the gem on his hand, but the gem on his back didn't glow at all. He moved the string tied gem very gently around him until he finally pulled the gem to him making him fuse.
