Chapter 14

I was waiting for someone to start speaking and it was kind of uncomfortable. I looked between everyone. I could just read their minds but that would be unfair.

"Well I can not wait to get in to a proper bed" I said suddenly and that made everyone laugh so I guess I kind of lightened the mood. Well that was until I looked at Ruby. She seemed scared.

"Ruby are you ok?" I asked her.

"We need to talk and I don't know how to tell you" she said looking at her hands in her lap.

"OK" I whispered giving her a minute.

"Why don't we go out to the back garden and talk? I have made you some lunch" we all nodded our heads. I looked behind to see Noah was still with me, he had been silent since we walked through the front door. I stretched my arm out behind me and grabbed his hand for some comfort and he squeezed my hand back in return.

We walked out to the garden and I could see how green the leaves were on the trees, all the pretty flowers that were around the garden. I could smell the woods from where I was standing. I could even smell the flowers. 'How is this possible'? I could see everyone staring at me and I noticed that they were all waiting for me to sit down. I noticed that Ruby had set the garden table up with some fruit and sandwiches and some apple juice. I sat down with Noah next to me and not letting his hand go. I looked to Ruby who was looking at me and I nodded her head for her to continue.

"I have to tell you something Savannah and please let me finish before you get mad" she whispered to me. 'Why would I get mad at her?'

"Firstly, my name is Ruby Summers and I am your mother's sister which makes me your Aunt" she quickly said and I didn't think I heard her right.

"Did you just say that you're my Aunt?" I asked her and she just nodded her head and hung her head in shame.

All of a sudden I was getting angry, why didn't she tell me? She knew I was alone in this rotten mean world. How could she keep this from me? I though I had no family and then she tells me she is my Aunt. This is just unbelievable.

"Why didn't you tell me? You knew my story; you knew what I had been though all those years ago. I can not believe you would keep something this big from me. I thought I could trust you Ruby." I took a breath not realising I was speaking so fast. "Did you know who I was when you took me off the streets? Of course you knew, who would in their right mind would take a stranger into their home not knowing them properly" by the time I was finished I was shaking violently and clutching my stomach. I was in so much pain and I didn't know why. The pain was unbearable, I couldn't take it anymore I fell to the ground still clutching my stomach. I couldn't hear anything round about us all I heard was me screaming. I could feel my bones starting to crack which made me scream out more.

"What the hell is happening to me?" I screamed to no one in particular. Suddenly there were warm hands on my shoulders and running them down to my arms and rubbing my arms, I knew by the feeling that it was Noah by my side. He was trying to calm me down but I think I was to far gone and he knew that too.

"Just let it go baby. Let your wolf take over" he whispered.

So this is what this was. How do I let her out? 'Snix? You there?' I asked her. 'Just picture yourself as a wolf and I will do the rest' she said to me and that is exactly what I did, this is definitely something I didn't think I would ever have to do. Picture myself as a wolf, that's kind of funny. I could feel the final bones cracking, I slowly opened my eyes and I could see everything as clear as day, more crystal clear. I could see each petal on the flowers I could hear the birds chirping like they were right next to me. I was looking around and my eyes fell on Noah. 'Holy shit' he was so good looking, with my new eyesight I could see him much better. Was he always this hot? I tried to talk but nothing came out. All I heard was a yelp. Was that me? I think it was I laughed to myself.

I wonder if my abilities work in wolf form. I tried to contact Noah through his mind but that block was there again. I pushed it away with so much ease this time. "Noah can you hear me?" I asked him in his mind. He seemed confused as he was hearing my voice in his head. He was looking at me and I nodded my head. He just let out a laugh which caused Ruby and Sam to look at him. I looked down and seen that I had black paws I stood up and I was as tall as Noah. I looked to Ruby who was looking at me with sadness in her eyes. I shook my head to her and pushed my voice in her mind.

"I can't believe you lied to me. All this time you knew who I was and yet you didn't tell me, you had plenty of chances and you never said a word" I habe never beenso mad in my life. Ijust wanted to rip something apatt. This kind of anger is new to me and I'm kind of afraid. I looked to everyone who looked at me in sympathy.

I never let her respond and I was already running away from her. I ran and ran and ran and I didn't stop until I came to a lake. It was so peaceful here; I could probably seem myself coming here to think about things.

"Snix? You still there? I asked

"Yeah, I'm here Sav. Are you ok?" she asked me sounding worried.

"I'm not to sure. I don't know what to think about Ruby now. I trusted her"

"I think she was just trying to protect you, to ease you into this kind of world. You have just found out what you are and what you are going to do. All of that is enough for one person to handle, could you imagine what Ruby must have been going through, finally finding her niece but, not being able to say or do anything" she said to me. I was about to argue with her but she continued. "I am not saying what she did was right but I do think she had a good reason for doing it. You have to give her a chance to tell you her side." I sighed knowing she was right.

"How do I change back? I asked her

"Simple, just picture yourself in human form" I could picture myself with legs and arms and long dark hair flowing down my back. I closed my eyes and waited on the pain of my bones cracking. Damn it's not working I started to cry frustrated and I opened my eyes and could see I was already in human form.

I fell to ground and I cried. I cried for everything that has happened to me and for Ruby lying to me. I heard the bushes rustle to my right so I turned my head and saw a huge black wolf, but something was very familiar about this wolf. I looked at the eyes and right away I knew it was Noah. I turned away again and continued to cry and then I felt Noah's arms wrap around me and pull me to his side. He held me tight while I cried and he never let go.
