It was a short stroll to lance’s house, we chatted randomly trying to learn each other. I Found out that he was a charming, funny guy who was easy to talk to.

Minutes later we got to his apartment where I now am sitting on the couch, waiting for him to switch clothes.
“You cheated!” I heard a little boy shout.
“I did not!” said another.
I turned toward the front door to see the source of the voices. There stood two little boys, identical in appearance; dark hair (one spiked and the other hung low and loose on his forehead) and blue-green eyes which were currently flashing in annoyance at each other.
“Don’t be mad that I’m faster than you.” Said spiky hair, sticking his tongue out at the other.
I smiled at their dilemma
“what’s going on guys?” I asked from my spot on the couch.
They both turned, noticing my presence for the first time.
“well…” started the spiky-haired one, ruffling his hair nervously,
“we raced home and I won –“
“he thinks he won” interjected the other.
I laughed as they exchanged glares. Lance came in finally,
“Jacob” he said to the spiky-haired one “stop saying that you won when it’s obvious that Ryan did.
“But Lance!” cried the spiky-haired one…aka Jacob.
I looked at Lance, amazed at his perfect analysis.
He grinned at my shock,
“isn’t it obvious?” he asked.
I shook my head “but you are going to explain right?” I asked with a grin.
He rolled his eyes and sat down.
“Well for starters, Ryan was the one out of breath when Jacob is the fatty." he said with a sly grin
Jacob just rolled his eyes at this.
“Jacob has grass stains all over his jeans, suggesting that he fell in a sad attempt at winning.
Jacob glared hard at Lance, but I saw a hint of a smile lurking on his lips. Lance was leaning back now with both arms behind his head,
“and finally” he leaned in close for dramatic effect.
I rolled my eyes and laughed,
“hurry up and just tell us.”
He mock glared at me,
“if the interruptions are through, Ryan was the one the first voice I heard, meaning he opened the door, meaning he got there first.”
His words were barely above a whisper as he got to the end.
“meaning he won” he finished, leaning back into his chair again with a self assured smirk.
Laughing I flicked him in the forehead.
“Anyway aren’t we supposed to be taking a walk?” I stood up to go, and he followed suit.
5mins later we were on our second trip around the complex.
“So what was the most embarrassing moment of your life” I asked with a smirk.
He thought for a moment, and then answered.
”I wrote a girl I liked a song when I was in the 5th grade”
I looked to him, waiting for the embarrassing part.
“It was cliché and sappy, I basically claimed and obsession to her”he went on.
“Then some guys stole it and played the tape on the P.A system to the entire school.”
I studied his face, he was still somewhat embarrassed.
I smiled and linked my arm through his.
“So what about you?” he asked.
I thought for a minute.
“My whole life is an embarrassment” I finally said, keeping my gaze on the ground.
I felt his gaze, tender on my face.
He then held my hand and squeezed. I looked up at him, blushing slightly at his comfort.
But I would be damned if I fell for him, guys are nothing but trouble.
