Euphemia laid back on the recliner and relaxed. She was glad she left the door open because the chilly winter air seemed to make the uncomfortable stickiness of the pleather chair vanish.

She never got any time to do as she pleased, so quiet time like this was valuable to her. Not doing chores, not at highschool, just the cool air and the sight of Misa entering her home-

"What are you doing here?" Euphemia asked, kicking the air. Misa was the only other minor in her neighborhood, but definitely not the only person she couldn't stand the sight of. She was too young to hang out or talk to as well; Euphemia would never wreck her pride by being with a ten year old.

"The door was open," she said, closing the door and plopping herself on a chair near Euphemia. "Anyway, you like history and that stuff, right?" Misa's eyes were filled with admiration. Euphemia groaned and got out of her chair. She picked up the girl and slung her over her shoulder like a backpack and began to trudge out the door and walked down the porch.

"Ya'know Euphy, you lo-ove history a lot. And you're really smart too, a prodigy!" Misa was speaking quickly to keep Euphemia attention. "Anyways, some guy's stealing stuff outta the museum nearby. Or maybe they're losing everything and managed to forget where they left that old stagecoach," She continued, Euphemia setting her down on the sidewalk. "So, why don't we go to the museum and find out who's stealing everything! We'll be Sherlock Holmes together!"

"No." said Euphemia, her back already facing Misa and continuing her journey back inside to resume her peace.

"My birthday was lasy week and you didn't get me anythin' or come to my party. Plus, I'll leave you alone for a whole month if you spend the day with me."

Euphemia straightened up. "You can't call me "Euphy" anymore as well."

"Deal!" She smiled.

"I'm not liable for anything if you get hurt." she said with a sigh, and began to walk down the street with Misa and headed for the museum.
