"Museum closed?" Misa whined. "How lame."
Misa went to Euphy's house to see why she disappeared suddenly at Jackie's house yesterday. She missed so much fun as well; Carter got hosed off in the front yard and Carter made brownies. They were burned though because he got unexpectedly painted and didn't get them out in time.
When Euphy wasn't home, she thought she went to the museum. But that wasn't possible.
The museum had a special "1800s Winter Event" though at six PM, so Misa wanted to go and see it later. Problem was, 'later" is in several hours. It was 2:17.
Misa could go home and read or watch TV, but she wasn't in the mood to be cooped up. She decided to go to Jackie's again.
"Jaclyn's not home." said Carter, standing in the doorway.
"What'she doing then?"
"Probably at some party," he said with a sigh. "She said she was doing some volunteer work and had to drop something off, but I wouldn't be surprised if she was out with her friend Lila." Carter started shivering from the cold. "Come inside again, I guess."
Misa sat down again on the same red chair she sat on yesterday and got comfortable. Carter kept the room warm and it smelled like something was in the oven again.
"Is the paint all off?" Misa questioned.
"Mostly. I still have a couple of scrapes on my arm."
"Why?"
He gave a Euphemia-like annoyed face. "She had full buckets of paint layin' around, all opened. The lights were out as well so I tripped and got paint all over. I saw some big thing inside the garage though, so she might have been in the middle of painting something." Carter went into a full on rant. "She's so messy and needs to put her stuff away and store it neatly. Slob."
The delicious smell of baking grew stronger. "Are you making brownies again?"
"Yeah, I have a timer, it should go off any minute now. Wait, what time is it?" he asked.
"2:43 PM." She said, sniffing the brownies again. "Can I have some?"
"Dangit, not again." He ran out and stumbled into the kitchen.
Misa decided to head out again. Going to places was fun. Maybe her schoolmates where at the park and bored like herself.
