Chapter 8

So it's the X factor finals and I'm backstage. I'm not even joking I'm shitting it. This isn't the same nerves as last week it's way worse. I don't have the boys with me for support. I know they're here because we're doing a big group performance but they aren't allowed to see me until just before the results tonight. The way it's working is tonight I do 2 songs and then we have results on who's through and then tomorrow I do my what my winners single could be, another cover and then a duet with a celebrity who is still to be confirmed.

"Danielle you have to get into positions with James and Jahmene." One of the producers said to me.

I got up and followed her to the bit behind the giant sliding doors at the back of the stage. I could hear everyone else already out there singing now.

"Give it up for your finalists Danielle, James and Jahmene!" Dermot said.

We walked on stage holding hands and stood in the middle of all the contestants. We all sang together and then we left the stage. I was on first and I was singing who you are by Jessie J. Then it was James' turn and then Jahmene. I then did my second song which was Therapy by all time low.

I had been backstage for 30 minutes with the boys who were allowed to see me now. I was just about to go back onstage for the results on who's in the last day of the finals.

"Come on you'll do great!" George said.

"And we're right here for you." JJ said pulling me closer to him.

"Jees if you two get any closer you'll be the same people!" Josh laughed.

"Danielle it's time!" The same producer as earlier said to me.

"Good luck!" The boys said as I walked behind the doors. I took Tulisa's hand and we walked out to the front of the stage.

"So we are down to our final three." Dermot said. "Unfortunately only two of you will be continuing to tomorrow nights live final. I can now reveal, in no particular order, that the first person through to tomorrow night is... James!"

I have him a giant hug and he walked off of the stage. It was just me and Jahmene now. Jahmene is so amazing and I love him to bits. But it's the same with James really. I love them both.

"And the last person through to tomorrow night is..." I swear you could probably hear my heart beating for miles. "Danielle!" I honestly couldn't believe it. I mean me of all people in the top 2 of the X factor? I'm not even joking when I say that I me and Tulisa were jumping about screaming like crazy. We went off the stage and immediately the boys ran up to me, engulfing me in a hug

"Oh my god Dani we're so proud of you!" They all said.

"Thanks guys!" I laughed as we walked along to my dressing room.

*Skip to final results*

This is it. The finals. Just me and James left. We've sang our songs, which was amazing since I got to duet with mcfly, and now we were standing there on stage waiting for the results. In one hand I had Tulisa's and in the other I had James'.

"This is it. The moment you have all been waiting for. Over the past few month thousands auditioned, and with the help of our judges and you, the public, we are down to our final two. Good luck to Danielle and good luck to James. I can now reveal that the winner of the X factor 2012 is..." My heart was beating so hard I thought it was about to pop out of my chest. The wait for him to announce it was excruciating. The whole arena was silent. "DANIELLE!" He called.

I exploded inside. The feelings were just so overwhelming. I just won the fucking X factor...

"We'll done!" James said in my ear, giving me a hug.

"I'm so proud of you! Tulisa squealed passing me my winners single CD. It wasn't long before all the contestants ran on stage beside me because they were allowed to do that this year. I got through everyone and it was finally my turn to see union j. As soon as I got through to them JJ ran up to me and kissed me with so much passion it was unreal. If the public didn't know we were dating already they sure would have now. He pulled away and gave me a massive hug.

"Ok how about one more performance of your winners single then?" Dermot said handing me my microphone. By now I was crying and so the whole way through me singing was shaky. I mean could you really blame me?

Straight after the show we all went out to a club and let's just say me and Audrina got a little carried away with the drinks. Ok yeah so there might be a few pictures in the news tomorrow lets just say.
