Chapter 17

"So Dani how's the new boyfriend?" George said winking. I could see JJ tense up across from me.

"What?" I said slightly confused.

"Oh come on we all saw the pictures of you and that guy in the news?"

"Dan? I'm not dating Dan don't be a weirdo!" I laughed. Oh yeah I should probably tell you what's going on. So it's been a while since me and JJ broke up and we've not really been speaking that much. I think it's best that way. Right now though we're just starting the X factor tour! It's been really cool so far but it's a bit weird sharing a room with your ex.

"Just saying you looked pretty cosy!"

"Let's just drop it ok?" Jaymi said.

"Thank you!" I said.

"Danielle you need to get to hair and make up!" A producer shouted through the bus.

"Kay!" I said standing up. I followed him down the steps of the tour bus and into the first arena. We walked into the hair room where Jamie was waiting for me.

"You up for a change?" He said sitting me down in the chair.

"Sure. What're you thinking?" I smiled.

"How about we go back to brown with some blonde high lights?"

"Cool with me!" I said.

It took us a while but my hair was finally done. It looked amazing! I've definitely missed brown hair. I got my make up done pretty quickly and I was rushed to wardrobe. They put me in a dress with a red sparkly corset and a pink skirt and red heels to match the corset part. I was in the middle of my vocal warm ups when JJ walked in.

"Umm Dani you got a minute?" He said.

"Sure what's up?"

"Look I know what I did was so stupid of me and I know your not gonna forgive me this easy but I'd love to stay friends." It stung to hear him call us just friends but it stung more to think of us not even speaking.

"I'd like that too." I smiled giving him a hug.

JJ's POV

I miss this. I miss her being here in my arms. I know she isn't going to trust me again just like that but I need her to know somehow that I still love her...

Danielle's POV

"Five minutes till your on!" A producer said walking past me. Everyone else had had their own bits and it was finally my turn. I was getting one of the longest parts to myself since I was the winner and I was going to be doing a small part of my new single for them tonight which was a bit nerve wracking. I heard Union J finish up their last song and my VT rolling. I got into my position under the stage and waited for it to raise me up. I had no idea how the crowd would react to me. I knew there was a lot of Jcats out there and I knew that every single one of them knew about me and JJ splitting up. The stage finally began to raise up and he beginning of somewhere in Neverland began playing. I began singing as the sounds of screaming filled my ears.

"Good evening London!" I said into the mic walking down to the front of the stage. More screaming. "How're you all today? You good? This next song is called put your hearts up and thanks to you guys and your amazing support it was number 1 for Christmas!" I smiled putting my mic on the stand. I finished up that song and did a few more before I was going to do my new single.

"Okay so I have a little treat for you guys today! I've been in the studio recently working on some things and I want your guys opinion on this. It's called ain't it fun!" I said.

(Yeah I used a paramore song as Danielle's original btw)

*Back At The Hotel*

"So new single then aye?" JJ said flopping down next to me on the bed.

"Possibly it depends what kind of a reaction it gets."

"And new hair?" Josh said flicking my hair about.

"Au natural." I laughed.

"Umm Dani can I talk to you for a minute?" Jaymi said standing up.

"Sure." I said following him out into the hall.

"You know he's still absolutely madly in love with you right?" He said as soon as the door was closed.

"You don't think I love him too? I think your forgetting about why we split up."

"I know you love him still all I'm saying is you didn't see the way he was when you broke up."

"And you didn't see the way I was. I don't think you guys really noticed I have feelings too not just him."

"Look just give him a chance to explain ok?" He sighed walking back in.

"Fine." I whispered following him.
