I walked into History with determination, today we were going to be given partners to work on the project with. As I said I love History, so I was looking forward to knowing who my partner was... hopefully Sarah smile. I looked at her to find her giving me the same knowing smile.

"So... class, today is that day" Mr Blade took a moment to run his eyes over everyone in class until he landed on me, sending a small smile my way. "I will announce who will be working with who on our semester project. There will be no complaining or changing of partners... my decision is final" he gave us all a stern look before pulling out a paper.

"Okay... this is bow you will be paired. Johnny is with Maddy, Cindy with Tom... Annah with Hideo" I didn't bother looking up as I knew none of the people he called out but I heard some moans and sighs, one guy celebrated though... guess he must have been partnered with someone he liked.

I looked up when a familiar name was mentioned, "Cassidy will be with Chris... Sar..." before he could continue I heard Cassidy huff and then her annoying voice.

"But sir, I can't work with him, because I... was hoping I could work with Ty coz... he lives closer to my house and... we... have worked together before and I kinda know him well" when she noticed the look she got from Mr Blade she continued, "as a friend... I mean me and Ty are friends" huh feeble excuse.

I saw Mr Blade smirk a little as he answered her, guess he also hates the fake bitch as much as I do. "Well then Ms Whiler...", wow Whiler, should've been Whiner. "See this as a chance to expand your circle of friends. Now I would like to continue if you don't mind?" she sat down shamefully and disappointed, huh take that bit*h.

"Now, Sarah will be with Trey" I felt my heart drop as did my face, I looked at Sarah to find the same expression on her face. She gave me sad smile as I returned it and glared at my favorite teacher, not.

"And lastly, Tyler will be with Victoria... our new student" really was that necessary. I was too afraid to look at Ty because I knew he'd either be smiling, smirking or smiling... that's how irritating he was. I looked up to see blondie fuming at me, her eyes as sharp as a samurai's sword. I couldn't help but smirk at her, I mean I don't like Ty but seeing her this mad is priceless... might as well busk in the glory.

I felt someone nudge my elbow, I looked at the source to find the one and only Ty smiling at me. I groaned, looking around looking for my best friend only to find her sitting and laughing with some guy. I looked around and noticed that everyone sat in pairs, I guess Mr Blade said to sit with your partner...

I checked the time, 20 minutes to go... I should survive. I looked back at Ty, plastering a very fake smile on my face. "Hi". Maybe I can actually ignore him until the end of this torturous class. Guess I was wrong because the next thing I felt was a nudge.

I slowly looked at him, ready with a fake smile on my face... be nice, Vic be nice. "So... aren't you happy we got to work together? I mean we are so gonna be a great team" I wanted to come up with a smartass reply but then remembered Blondie's anger and put a smile on my face and answered.

"You are so right, we will make a great team" I said the last part a little too loud so blondie could hear and I could hear her huff. Ty was a bit taken aback by my nice, enthusiastic reply... guess he expected me to be rude, and I was gonna be rude but I always look at the bigger picture.

"I will had each group a paper with the topic you will be researching and I have added a couple of questions that will be useful to your project" Mr Blade spoke again diverting all our attention.

"Remember, the questions I have included for you are only a push in the right direction, not everything, your research has to be thorough, like a text book. I expect 50 pages at the end of the term with all the information that you have gathered... with illustrations if you have any" I heard groans and mutters, guess people really hate research... well I don't.

I couldn't help the small smile that came onto my face as I heard Tyler groan beside me. Seeing as he hates research, I will make sure we start as soon as we can, today if possible.

"Hey wanna start working today?" I asked Ty as I smiled seeing the tortured look on his face. Mr Blade started walking around as he passed papers to everyone.

"Today?" Ty asked looking slightly pale. I nodded still with the smile... oh this is fun. "um... um... I was kinda thinking we could start maybe um..." a paper was placed in front of him and we both looked up to find Mr Blade. I looked at the paper and saw the heading.

Angels and fallen angels. I thought we were researching legends. Aren't angels real? I looked up at him with a confused look on my face and he gave me a stern look as if saying no questions and walks off. O-kay. I took the paper there were 2 more pages. I turned to them and found the questions he said could be useful, didn't he say a few questions? There are like 50 questions or more.

I scanned through some of the questions, forgetting that I have to share this with a certain someone. What are angels? How do they fall? Can angels become human? How to kill an angel. Can an angel ne killed? Really? The difference between angels and guardian angels. How to track down angels.

I stopped reading the questions and looked up to find Ty looking at me, I raised an eyebrow at him and he looked away. Weird much? I cleared my throat and continued.

"So today?" I raised my eyebrow again enjoying his discomfort.

The bell rang and I sighed, saved by the bell indeed, he got up the second it rang and ran out of class, away from me... smart man.
