Liar

Chapter 16

-Camila-

Suddenly everything in my world got flipped upside down. It all started with a single crush. I fell for Lauren at boot camp. Even though she intimated the shit out of me- I still had this attraction towards her. Her long flowing brown locks of hair, her piercing eyes, her gorgeous smile... Everything about her was perfect. And the best thing was that she had accepted me for me. She liked my clumsiness, my jokes, my stupid remarks, everything. I mean when can you find someone like that?

-Normani-

I watched the pure delight from Camilas face get shattered in an instant. It was like a movie. Everything was in slow motion, I watched as the phone slide through Camilas fingers and a tear rolled down her cheek.

-Camila-

I never thought about telling her about my crush because I didn't think she liked me like that. Rejection is the scarest thing to go through, so I decided to not even give it a chance. But then when I saw her with Drew I couldn't stand it. He was all over her and everyone knew why he wanted her. He didn't love her and he never would. But that only made me realize that I do love her. I was so confused on whether I wanted Keaton or Lauren that I didn't realize everything that I really needed was right in front of me, but now I had the chance of losing it.

-Ally-

We all watched as Camila sat there staring at the wall. We didn't know what to do. We were all curious to find out what happened but we knew she needed time to put her words together. I slowly pulled myself away from the girls and walked towards Camila.

The silence was killing me.

"Mila..." I whispered placing my hand around her shoulder. "What's wrong?"

Camilas teary eyes turned to me but she didn't say anything. Instead she wrapped her arms around me burying her head into my neck. Wrapping my arms around her I began to stroke her hair.

"You can tell us what's wrong." I heard Normani say.

-Camila-

I know they would ask me eventually what was wrong but I couldn't form the words to tell them. So instead I just pulled Ally into a hug, hoping somehow that would calm my nerves.

"Mila, the quicker you tell us the quicker we can fix the problem." Ally whispered into my ear.

Nodding my head I slowly pulled away. Wiping my tears I turned and stared directly at them.

"They have her."

All three of them just quirked their eyebrows up confused.

"Drew." I whisper.

They nod their head in response but I know they still don't understand.

"Drew is obsessed with Lauren. He tried to "get" with me to force myself to leave her. That's why she left the restaurant because she knew he just wanted to fuck her. And she knew he would force her to do it if she didn't want to."

They were all silent. I wiped my tears off my cheek some more.

Dinah was the first to speak. "So drew has Lauren right now?" I nod. "Is Keaton in all this?"

I shrug my shoulders. "When I called he said Drew disappeared but once Lauren said I love you, I heard him talk. As if he was there the whole time."

"Do you think he could have something against Keaton to make him work with him?" Normani said.

This time Ally answered. "I doubt it. Think about it, if Keaton's been chasing Camila all this time, then what would stop him in helping Drew? He knew Camila would run to him all hurt and depressed. Easy way to trick a girl if you asked me."

I shake my head. "But he's not like that."

Dinah shook her head. "Didn't you tell me he forced you to kiss him and admit you two were dating?"

"Yeah bu-"

"But nothing." Dinah said. "This time he has Drew helping him. He'll act as though he's trying to save her, all while you look at him like he's your hero, and then somehow he'll-"

I shook my head instantly. "And what? Ill fuck him after he fails to save Lauren? Or somehow he'll trick me into thinking Lauren really loves Drew or wants him that way I force myself to forget her and be with him?" I stand up and shake my head. "That wouldn't work because I know Lauren loves me and I love her! I won't let them destroy that."

Normani smiled and stood up. "Exactly, you know that, we know that but they don't."

"Huh?" Ally, Dinah and I said.

-Normani-

I clasp my hands infront of me and smile. "Think about it. We know how much Lauren loves you, as do you. And we know you love Lauren more than anything but they don't. Keaton still thinks he has a chance with you, as does Drew or he wouldn't have planned this right?"

I watch Camila nod her head. "So what if we play them at their own game?"

"How?"

"That's the fun part. We can do anything we just have to figure out where she is, where they are and how we will save her." I smile widely. Damn I'm good.

"Mani, this could go so wrong." Ally said shaking her head.

"Ally, it's already wrong. It can't get any worse." I watch in the corner of my eye as I see Camila whisper 'knock on wood.' While hitting the table.

Laughing I say, "Guys, come on. It's Lauren, not some random person we just met."

Everyone nods.

"So what's the plan pero?" Dinah says while grabbing a chair to sit.

"Well, this is what I think..."
