Liar

Final chapter

-Camila-

I intertwine Lauren's and I hands together as I walk down the hallway into the music room. I pull her closer to me as I enter the room and sit on the couch.

"Didn't really want to go into the other room- you know with everything that has happened." Lauren nods her head and I pull her closer.

"This has all been so odd, don't you agree?" I hear her say as she wraps her arms around my waist. I nod my head.

"We went from being angry-"

"Jealous." I interrupt

She laughs, "okay, jealous to trying to protect one another and then to-"

"Getting kidnapped by two crazy people. I know crazy day right?" I say pulling her closer.

"Crazy week." She says playing with my hair.

"This is so cliche." I mumble. I pull away from Lauren and sit on my knees looking at her.

"We liked each other from the start. Neither of us wanted to admit it and then all this shit had to happen for us to realize it and finally be together. Interesting huh?" I cross my arms when I hear her start to laugh.

"As If this is a normal thing to happen? To get kidnap-"

I shake my head immensely. "No. Not that part, but I mean the roller coaster we have been on with our emotions." I say pointing in between us.

Lauren nods and reaches for me once more. "Yeah but no matter how cliche it is," she places her on my cheek and she smiles. "I still got you didn't I?" As I'm about to answer she gently presses her lips to mine and kisses me with so much passion. I smile in the kiss but slowly pull away.

"Did you really get me?" I say crossing my arms. She presses her hands to my back and looks me in the eyes.

"Camila. Will you be my girlfriend?"

I laugh, "well I thought that was ob-" before I can finish my sentence, she again crashes her lips to mine. I smile and wrap my arms around her- enjoying this moment.

Of course I could leave everything the way it is, how we are finally together and happy but I can't shake this feeling I have. Once more I pull away from Lauren.

"Why'd you leave?" I ask.

Lauren quirks her eyebrow confused. "Leave the house, you left why?" I watch as Lauren just shrugs her shoulders. I pull away but keep my body facing Lauren.

"Lauren, I just don't get it. You were safe- you knew how crazy he was yet you still left."

Lauren rolls her eyes. "I left to protect you!"

"But I was already safe Lauren!" I stand up and start to pace across the room. I can tell Lauren's eyes are trained on mine.

"Can't you just be happy we are both safe and together?" I turn to face Lauren once more and smile. "I am happy. But why can't you just answer the question?"

Lauren stands up suddenly and she presses me against the wall with her hands. "Really want to know?" I nod my head furiously and she pulls away.

"I had to..." I watch as she starts to play with her hands. "Crazy enough," she looks at me. "I did really like Drew at some point."

"You went back for him?" I whisper.

Lauren slowly nods her head. "Even though he was an ass I still felt like I need- wanted to go back."

I shake my head and slowly fall to the ground. "Even after what he said and did to you!? Even after I told you what he did to me?" Tears were slowly forming in my eyes.
