"Awesome!", Luke praised my work of art. I finished my drawing of a ballerina for Art Class. I had to admit, it was actually pretty good. "Thanks, Luke," I grinned at him. It was the first time I've grinned since all the Abby thing happened. Stupid me.
"Mhm," he hummed responding. It was a pretty much happy day throughout the morning, because Abby and the gang didn't really did anything to concern me. Up until lunch.
The bell rung and I went down to the cafeteria to buy lunch. As I was humming along the track, "Ashleigh!", a low voice called my full name. Weird.
I turned around it was Jay's. I forgot all about him.
"Ashleigh, Andrew fell down! You need to meet him!", he said out of breath
"Where?", I said shocked.
"At the basketball field. Come on!", he started jogging away.
I followed him to the basketball field wondering what might've happened to Andrew. But what concerned me the most, was why Jay called me. I mean, he's his friend. Shouldn't he be able to handle Andrew?
I saw Andrew half sitting-half lying on the ground with a frowning complexion on his face.
"Man...ugh...owh...that hurts!", he tried handling himself to stand up.I ran over to him, "Bro are you okay? What happened?" I asked him when he was already standing by the help of Cliff and Matt.
"I'm fine, Ayle. I tripped over that damn pavement," he said with a grimacing as he was tried to walk.
"Are you sure? Go sit on that bench. I'll take my muscle soothing cream for you."
"Kay," he said while walking by the help of Cliff and Matt.
As he was walking to the bench, I put his things that got messed up from his file he was carrying together. And I saw the paper again. The adoption certifacate copy. This time, I took some seconds to read any visible name.
"Sshh, Ayle," Jake caught me frowning at the paper.
I gave him a questioning look.
He only put his finger in front of his mouth and winked. Did he know what I was looking at?
I smiled stuffing the paper back to the file.
"Okay, go hurry and get the soothing cream," he said taking the file, "I'll give this to Andrew," he jogged to Andrew's direction.
I gave an okay sign to him and ran upstairs to get my soothing cream. Did Jay know something? As I jogged, I thought about the name I saw faintly. It was Berkley. And I don't think that name was new to me.
