Ezra's POV

"Just leave me alone I never want to talk to you again!" tears rolling down my cheeks, I walk out of the door. I hear glass shattering and screams from inside the apartment when I leave.

I had all my stuff in a luggage and quickly ran to my car to go to my friends house. Okay... try to remember what just happened.

Ok my boyfriend or now ex-boyfriend Daniel has almost tried to kill me with his anger issues again. I swallow hard while I focus on the road while I am 10 minutes away from my friends house.

Take a deep breath Ezra... try to remember. Okay... we had a huge fight about him cheating on me with one of my friends, from now on which I'm going to call her whoredon!

My hands were shaking from the memories in my head, My shoulders were sore since he was shaking me. My back aching from Daniel throwing me to the wall.

I put on the radio to try to distract me from my misery that just happened 15 minutes ago. Hey There Delilah played and it kinda relaxed me for a moment.

I finally arrive to my friends house, her name was Madi and I've been friends with her since we were toddlers. She's now a music producer for a big music company in L.A. Madi opened the door with a smile until she frowned looking at the bruises Daniel left me.

"What the fuck did he do to you now, that fuckface!" Madi said while gritting her teeth. "Thanks for letting me stay with you" I said while tears rolled down my eyes and I was shaking feeling weak and traumatized.

"Shhh, come here you'll be okay here" Madi smiled at me while she hugged me, and I hugged her back. "I'll help you with your bags, just go to the living room and make yourself feel like home" Madi said while grabbing my luggage and I nodded.

I sat down on her white couch and closed my eyes and trying to get rid of all the pain, that's killing me slowly. "You can stay in the guest room, and I know you've been trying to find a job, so I found you one!" Madi said trying to put a smile on my face.

"Really, what is it!" I said now smiling, since I've been looking for jobs for the past 3 months.

"So your basically an assistant for these two guys named Jack & Jack, they make music together. You'll be making coffee, delivering papers, and doing errands for them" Madi said giving me a paper filled with the details.

"This sounds great, how much do I make?" I asked since I'm trying to afford my own place, I can't just live in someone else's house for the rest of my life.

"$40 dollars an hour, it's really good pay!" Madi said pointing at the paper.

"Sounds great I'll do it!" I finally felt kinda happy for once.

"You'll start tomorrow" Madi said starting to make a call to officially confirm I'll take the job. I read the paper and it said;

Assistant Job Offer

Time: 10:30 am - 7:30 pm on weekdays weekends off.

Approximate Pay: $40 an hour

Requirements: - clipboard to take notes on
- Suited appropriate attire
- Owner of a car
- Expirience
Begins September 14, 2015

I get my luggage and start to walk to the guest room, I open the door and it was pretty big. I don't own many things so I didn't take long. Once I finished Madi called me.

"Hey Girl! Let's go eat!" Madi said while dangling her car keys.

I was pretty hungry so I nodded, "Can you give me 10 minutes please" I said.

"Take your time" Madi said giggling a bit.

I got my makeup wipes and took off all the makeup I had on and washed my face. I fixed my hair into a bun, and put on a cardigan. "Alright, I'm ready!" I yelled and Madi and I left to the car.

"We should go eat at Red Lobster, I like eating they're bread!" Madi said while I laughed.I nodded and we started to hear Can't Feel My Face by The Weeknd.

Madi sang along to it while I just sit there and watch her make a fool of herself. Madi made my day, "C'mon sing with me, you sing so great!" Madi whined and I just laughed and nodded and Madi screamed happily.

"I can't feel my face when I'm with you... Oh I love, yeah I love it... Oh oh" I sang while Madi just sang a long.

"I wish I sang like you, I sound like a cat dying, and heck I'm a music producer!" We both laughed our asses off.

We finally came to Red Lobster, and the waiter took us to our seats. When they gave us our free bread, Madi prayed to the bread gods!

"Oh Madi!" I laughed while the waiter laughed along with me until he left.

"This bread is so fucking good! Yes I would pray to the bread gods!" Madi said while taking a bite out of her bread.

"May I take your order?" The waiter said.

"Yeah, may I have the Shrimp Linguini Alfredo" Madi said while folding her menu.

"How about you?"

"I'll get the same thing as her" I said the waiter nodded, he left and Madi and I started talking.

"Let me just tell you straight up... what happened with you and Daniel" Madi asked with a serious face.

I sighed and explained to her, "Daniel... cheated on me with Mary, I asked him about since I found a thong in his drawer. He started lying to me saying that he wasn't and maybe it was mine, but it wasn't mine. So, he started screaming at me and throwing me to the wall, since he has anger issues"

I swallowed hard and kept going, "I locked myself in my room packed everything in my luggage and got out, he told me I was a stupid bitch for not believing him, so I screamed at him saying I never wanted to talk to him anymore. Once I left he threw a glass beer bottle to the door which is obvious he was about to kill me" a tear rolls down my eye and I swipe it across my face quickly.

"That fucking slut, she's going to get a piece of my mind when I see her." Madi got pissed and she was eating her bread roughly. The food finally came and we just ate and forgot about all that just happened.

Once we were done we left home and I started getting ready to bed so I can start work tomorrow morning. I got my outfit picked and re-read the paper again.

I looked at myself in the mirror and managed to put a smile on my face, with all the shit that happened today. I still manage to smile.
