Ezra's POV

"So how was your first day on the job?" Madi said while sipping her cup of tea.

"It was great! I met new people. And The Jacks were really nice to me" I said washing the dishes.

"I heard he's starting to have a crush on you?" Madi smirked while I turn around quickly to face her. I rolled my eyes playfully, "Puh-lease! It was just the first day, and how did you even know?" It was strange of her to know.

"Eric and Zack told me, we're best friends!" She laughs while I dry the dishes. "But! Eric and Zack think your perfect for this job, and that's really good to hear!" Madi said with a wide smile.

I looked over at Madi while she takes a huge bite of the sugar cookie I gave her. And I just laugh at her while I stare at all the sugar around her mouth.

*Next Day*

"Hey Ezra, pass me those papers that I asked you to print yesterday, please" Eric told me facing me. I stood up from where I sat and gave him the papers.

"Oh, look at that it's lunch time!" "I'll see you guys in an hour" Eric said putting down the papers and leaving the recording studio accompanying him was Zack. I saw Johnson telling something to Gilinsky, that Johnson left first, Gilinsky came out and looked at me for a while when I was grabbing my things.

  "Do you want to eat lunch with me" Gilinsky asked me, "I see why not?" I say sarcastically. It put a smile on his face, we walked to the closest coffee shop there was and it was called LuLu's Cafe.

  "Good afternoon, what would you like to get?" The lady asked kindly, she had a welcoming smile on her face. "I will get Pumpkin Spice tea and a plain bagel with cream cheese" I said handing her the money.

  The lady looked over at Gilinsky and he ordered a sandwich with a water, we both payed and sat down until they gave us what we ordered. "So how long have you've been in the music business?" I asked him his nose wrinkled a little which made me smile a bit on the corner of my mouth.

  "I've been doing it for approximately 2 years, yeah... what do you think of our music?" He asked me while he drank his water. "It's great, you guys seem like you put a lot of work and effort on each song" I said while he smiled at me with those perfect teeth.

  "Do you have any special talents, except for getting papers from the copy machine and getting us coffee and water" Gilinsky said sarcastically. I rolled my eyes and said, "Yeah... I guess my friend Madi says that sing like an angel, but I don't believe her" I said while smothering the cream cheese on my bagel.

  "Really... I would like to hear your voice" he flashed a smile at me and I take a bite out of my bagel while I raised an eyebrow. "You've got a little something over-" he got his napkin and wiped off the cream cheese I had on the side of my mouth.

He sat back down normally and continued eating, "Thanks Jack" I winked at him while I take a sip of my tea. "No problem" he said smiling at me while I smiled at him.

50 minutes have passed and we have 10 minutes left until our lunch is over. So we decided to take a stroll for 5 minutes, "Thanks for accompanying me for lunch" "No sweat Gilinsk-" I almost tripped on my face because of the uneven pavement.

But luckily Gilinsky catches me just in time, he holded me by my waist and we just stand there facing each other. He lets go of me and we start walking to the recording studio.

Once we got there, the place was empty. So we just sat down and talked again for awhile, "Alright since we're just here alone... now can you sing me something" he pleaded and I just nod since I can't really say no to him.

I take a deep breath, "He said lets get out of this town, drive out of the city away from the crowds. I thought heaven can't help me now nothing lasts forever, but this is gonna take me down. He's so tall, and handsome as hell, he's so bad but he does it so well. I can see the end as it begins my one condition is."

I stop right there, and all I see is Jack Gilinsky with his mouth wide open. Maybe I do have a lovely voice, Johnson, Zack, and Eric finally come in.

  "Let's run through the song Shallow Love once again!" Zack said plopping himself on the chair, Eric sits nonchalantly on his chair. I sat there in the back while I heard they're song.

  "Is this Shallow Love, or is it something real you make it hard to deal. Not knowin if this is shallow love, the way we live so well. Make it hard to tell what she in it fó, what you really in it fó" Gilinsky sang his verse and it was really good.

  They finished the song, and it was already 7:30 pm, while I was getting ready to leave Gilinsky wanted to ask me something privately. "Hey, what's up" I asked while I put my clipboard inside my bag, "I was thinking if you would like to go out to dinner, with me... this weekend?" He said smiling at me while looked back at him.

  "Um... I don't know I've barely just got out of this crazy ass relationship with this guy" I said while I frowned, but it looked like he understood. "But, I'll think about it" I said and he smiled at me. "See you tomorrow" he winked at me and I just smile back.

*Later That Night*

"Just go out with him!" Madi said holding a donut she got earlier. She's always eating something, "I know, but I just got out of a relationship with that idiot Daniel" I said looking down at my hands.

  "But, I did tell him I'll think about it" I said, Madi smiled. "Good, he's such a great guy. You'll both hit it off great!" She said taking a huge bite out of her donut.

  Hopefully... he doesn't turn out to be like my other exes. Or worse Daniel!
