I woke up to crying and yelling. It was 4:03 am on a warm Saturday morning. I walked to the room across the hall to see Jake rocking Cadence back to sleep. "Hey Jake where is Ki? Isn't that her job" I laughed. "She's over there in the chair asleep. We're taking turns with the baby" Jake said. I looked across the room to see Ki knocked out. She must have been with the baby all night. "Jake, you're acting like the baby's father I joked. When are you going to tell Ki the truth; you like her and you always have." "Nah man I don't wanna ruin our friendship. What we have now is good" Jake said. I don't think Ki was sleep because she looked at Jake like he went loco. "It wouldn't ruin our friendship she said. It would actually make it better". "Really, well if that's the case, will you date me?" Jake asked. "Yea of course" Ki said. "WELL THATS NOT FAIR! I yelled, running out the room. Cadence started crying and Jake handed Ki the baby and came after me. I ran outside to the deck and started crying. "Aye man what wrong? Jake asked. "Now my best friends are in a relationship and I'm still single." I said. "Hey well first thing this afternoon, we'll go woman hunting ok?" Jake said. "Ok I said. And we went back inside and ate some breakfast.
