Þ εννέα (Nine)

Peter Hale felt like he was the luckiest man on Earth, he just had sex with Lorelli Mikaelson, and she was good, he didn't know if it was because of his feelings for her that the sex had been incredible but either way he didn't care, no one could wipe the smile he had.

The next morning the older Alpha woke up alone in the bed, he took a shower, got dressed and went to the kitchen and saw a few people taking the belongs of the Mikaelson's out of the mansion, curious he went to look and then it was when he saw the twins telling the workers to put the stuffs in the cars. He was going to greet them but he saw their expressions, they didn't look very happy so instead he backed up and decided to look for his nephew to ask what happened after he and Lorelli left them.

--------Day Before--------

The moment Lorelli leaved Derek and Stiles; both quickly helped Elijah who told them to leave because soon he would start to hallucinate, not very convinced in leaving Hayley alone with him finally the Alpha and the warlock agreed and went back to the mansion.

It had been an awkward silence the whole ride back. The Alpha was feeling a lot of guilt; the older Original had been more kind and noble with him than Lorelli, but he remembered some of Elijah's words before they left him. And it made him feel more guilt and he hated it.

"Don't hate her" the Original told the Alpha to then let a laugh out "You should feel lucky Derek Hale, Anabella had never give someone a second chance" Derek looked at him confused "I know you "killed" her in a sense" his eyes widened at his words "I'm pretty sure you shouldn't be alive right now unless she decided to take mercy on you."

"She didn't give me mercy" the Alpha replied "She killed my betas."

"Oh Mr. Hale" Elijah started "Believe me, she gave you mercy, she cares for you and Mr. Stilinski too, that's why she is angry, you sided with me instead of her, that hurt her."

Derek scoffed "So what, she is jealous" the Original sighed.

"She wasn't wrong before" he said "People tend to always side with me than her and Niklaus, and for the first time in over a few decades she showed care for you, Stiles and even you uncle" Derek listened carefully at his words "How would you feel if the people you show care for the first time after being hurt over and over again for years, suddenly are against you" he inhaled "The hope you had, the belief in them it's suddenly broken one more time showing you how wrong you were for actually starting to trust again."

Derek cursed him internally; Elijah Mikaelson was good with words, those last words, he knew the feeling, he definitely knew it. In a same way he related to her, which made him sick but also he felt pity, he didn't want that, the Alpha knew Lorelli would never want the pity of someone; she would probably destroy you if you showed a little bit.

Then it came Stiles, he was the one feeling a lot of guilt, after Derek finished talking to Elijah, the werewolf told him the Original wanted to talk to him, nervous he entered not knowing what he would tell him but he knew it would affect him, he saw Derek's face when he came out, it showed guilt and he wasn't good with that feeling. Guilt was one of the feelings Stiles wished he didn't have; he could handle any other feeling except guilt.
