Chapter 10:

** Sicily's POV**

Those few words. Those few words that came shooting out of his mouth like a rocket. It felt like my stomach dropped into my butt, while my heart started beating twice as fast. “Is there something wrong?" I said with a shaky voice.

“Well actually, Mr. Malik wants your mother and me to go to..." His voice trailed off as he gazed deeply at my mother. "Where?" I said sternly getting quite frustrated.

I refuse to have to get my things and move again. I just got accustomed to the ways of life here. I’m not moving... It’s not an option. At this point my father began to worry me. “Where?" I asked once again while turning my head over to Zayn. His raspy voice spoke up, “Come on Dad, tell her… Please." “Dad tell me what's going on? Please… please" My voice crack while tears came to my eyes.

"Well, Mr. Malik wants your mother and I to go film a movie with him in Ireland” My eyes widen and my lips parted, but nothing was said. Everyone in the room was staring at me, like I was some sort of animal. Finally when I regained the ability to speak I asked. “Does that mean I have to start packing again? Dad please… we can’t move again." That's when I heard my mom’s sweet, almost angelic, little voice speak up from the silence “No sweetie, you can stay here while we're gone." At that moment it’s like the gravity was restored to the room and a sweet sigh of relief left my lips. “When do you guys leave?" “Four days..."

" How long will you'll be gone?"

" It all depends how long it takes us to shot, tops nine months."

What would I do when they were gone? What if I get lonely? Who will make me food?! I CAN'T LIVE OFF THE COFFEE SHOP FOREVER!!! “Okay, then. You should start packing." I said while making my way up the stairs. Was I mad? Upset maybe? Maybe a little but if that’s what makes them happy who am I to stand in the way… I just had to disconnect myself from everyone for a moment. Slowly I shut my door and fell to my soft, warm, comforting bed. I slowly picked up my book and began to read trying to separate myself from the outside world.

** Zayn's POV**

She said very few words and made her way to her room. Her mother apologized for Sicily's poor actions, but she didn't have to. That was a lot for her to handle. I would have done the very same thing. The poor girl thought she had to start packing just after a few days of being here, and settle down in a new place again. My mouth suddenly opened, “where would Sicily be staying when you guys are away?" Then it hit me. I sounded like an overprotective boyfriend, but obviously I wasn't. I heard a soft hurt tone speak up. “We’ll have someone come to check up on her and make sure she will be on her way to university." I looked right at her and there was something wrong, her facial expressions weren't the same as I first walked in. She seemed upset, worried. I understand. Who would want to leave their child in a new area by herself for nine months…?

"If you want. I could possibly check up on her from time to time.” I replied. She turned her head abruptly and gazed at me. I’m assuming she was trying to understand what I had just offered. My father all of a sudden entered the previous conversation, “Zayn that’s a great idea! That would be perfect! Well of course if it’s okay with you Mrs. Harrison." I looked at my father and slightly nodded to for him to stop. Sicily's mom slowly looked to her husband while mouthing a few words and faced towards me once again. She sighed and replied with a simple okay.

** Sicily's POV**

About a half hour later I heard the door shut and footsteps slowly escalate up the stairs. A sudden light knock hit my door causing me to jump a little. “Come in." I said with a dull tone. That's when my father entered and sit down on the foot of the bed. I slightly lower my book so our eyes could meet.

"Is there something wrong?"

"Not completely. But we need to talk."

I groaned as he began to speak in a hushed tone.

"So while we're gone… Someone will be here to check up on you." I stared at him with a blank expression."And also you need to make sure that you're going to university. And one more thing... Zayn offered to stop by to make sure you're okay." He said while avoiding eye contact. I felt my cheeks turn red. My blood was somewhat boiling.

“Why?! He doesn't have to I'll be perfectly fine by myself. I know how to take care of myself. I’m a big fricken girl dad…"

"Well I'll feel better if he came around once in a while to see if you’re okay. Sicily it’s not your choice."

"I don't want him to come here! There's something about him that I don't like! Please Dad, no!"

"Well, I'm sorry to tell you but your mother and I both agreed that it’s for the best. End of story."

"Dad! Please no!"

"Sicily... I said end of story!"

My bed suddenly rose as he stood up and walked towards the door, right as his left hand hit the door knob he turned around and said, "oh and your mother and I are not pleased about how you acted earlier." Then he swiftly shut the door, leaving a bang lingering in my ears, and headed down stairs.

I threw my book to the soft carpet and barrier my face into my pillow so my screams could be muffled. I swiftly sat up and sped towards my bedroom window. Zayn and his father were still at the car parked outside my window. I caught eye contact with Zayn and give him my oh so graceful middle finger and shut my curtains. I'd imagine he smirked at my action oh so pleased with himself.
