Mikey and Pete started to make it through the next few weeks. They snuck in kisses, and sneaky compliments and ended every working week with their Friday night date.
Pete thought that was perfect, and now it was all coming to a close.
Pete was sat on stage, in a robe rubbing him in all the wrong places, waiting for his name to be called so he could get his high-school diploma.
He was actually graduating.
He made it.
He was so excited, he didn't have to talk to any of the people he hated, naming no names of course, everyday anymore. He didn't have to worry about stupid things, like not chewing gum, or where to sit in class.
He did get to have his boyfriend though, but wasn't sure how to introduce Mikey, because he did want it to be known publicly that Pete Wentz was dating Mikey Way, but knew it would take sometime, but it wasn't illegal anymore so people judgement wouldn't separate them.
Nothing would separate them.
He looked at the crowd of crying mothers and proud fathers and uninterested sibling, he saw his own mother with a box of tissues on her lap blowing her nose and his father wearing the same grin he won when his favorite football player did something right. Pete didn't ever think his father would be as proud of him as he was football players but it was happening.
He looked at the row of teachers, only a few because they had to be there and one certain teacher flashing a smile at Pete.
Pete waved subtlety down at Mikey, who blushed and couldn't hold back his smile. They both had been waiting way to long for this.
"Wentz, Peter Lewis Kingston."
Pete got up as his name was called and wandered over to get his diploma. Four years for a piece of paper...it was a satisfying feeling nonetheless.Pete slumped back in his chair, and stared at the crowd whose emotions had just magnified, the tears from his mother, the smiles from his father and the glee from his boyfriend.
The final names were called, the principle have a stupid speech. Pete zoned out, till the audience erupted into applause and all the students were ushered off stage.
Mikey winked at Pete, knowing that if he went up to him Pete's parents would have questions.
Pete was determined to have his parents never find out that Mikey was his teacher.
So he wasn't going to acknowledge that he had any connection with Mikey, at least not too publicly- he winked back.
Then he hurried off, and hugged his mother, who was reluctant to let him go, holding him close till he managed convince her that they'd get in trouble from the rental robe company if she blew her nose on him.
His father patted his on the back, and that was about as much affection as he could muster up.
"Let's go out for dinner?" He offered, but Mrs.Wentz had to object due to he state of her eye make up.
Pete was more than fine with that, he could text Mikey, and clear up what they were going to do.

Pete was sprawled on his bed, sporting sweatpants and a double chin.
He was, of course, texting Mikey.
'What is the plan M Way?'
'What ever you want to do babe.'
'Such a gentleman...'
'Seriously though, I think we should cover up that I ever taught you.'
'Agreed.'
'Let's just keep this from your parents for a bit longer, so our relationship doesn't just come up, out of the blue.'
'Smart move, I'm happy to sneak around my parents till I get my own place.'
'Our own place?'
And with that one text Pete Wentz threw up his heart and choked on his own overbearing emotion.
It did hit him that his whole life was in front of his, however difficult it would be to introduce Mikey to his family...
'I do like the sound of that...'
'Great. Let's just take it slow?'
'Agreed. I love you.'
'Goodnight, I love you too.'
'Goodnight xo'

The next day Pete was casually waiting for the traffic lights to change, and causally humming and casually drawing as much attention to himself as possible, without getting arrested.
Mikey finally leaned over his balcony, checking out the source of noise;
"Mikes!"Mikey looked down, and when he saw his goofball boyfriend cheesy grinning up at him, he had to go downstairs, no matter the state of his hair.
He opened the front door to the apartment block, "Hey babe!"
"Hey Mikey! I wasn't trying to draw your attention or anything,"
"You...,"
"I wanted to suggest going out for brunch but your outfit leaves much to be desired."
Mikey knew he hadn't left much to the imagination, having run down in his boxers to meet his boyfriend.
"Really. I feel great."
"Upstairs, you goof."
I don't know what my life has become but I don't care I have one week of school left and I am ready to crawl into a hole. It doesn't even need to be a comfortable hole, just a hole with a bouncer that won't let f*ckboys or other idiots into my haven.
Also I don't know what happened to the format on this one sorry.
