Xavier POV
I woke up the morning after having dinner with Alexandria feeling refreshed. I drove home slowly last night replaying everything that happen. I know I probably should have been a little more gentle with her and should have waited to kiss her but I can't stand her calling me "Mr." It's like I finally break down a wall and she throws another bak up with that simple word.
I crawled out of bed heading towards the kitchen to make some coffee. After turning the coffee pot on I went to take a quick shower and get changed before work. A black suit, red tie, and a pair of shoes later I was in the kitchen drinking some coffee black. I was still thinking about what all happened last night.
Yes I know I was really hasty but I couldn't help it, I felt like she was slipping through my fingers. After Alexandria had left the night before to go get Rose there was a knock at the door. I left Delilah with the dolls and answered the door thinking that maybe she locked herself out. Only when I opened the door it wasn't Alexandria but some kid no more thank eighteen or nineteen that reeked of pizza and grease. He seemed startled that I opened the door.
"Hi uh, its there a woman named Alexandria here?" He sounded unsure of himself
"Who's asking." I'm not sure why but I was getting frustrated with the kid.
"I delivered her some pizza the other day and she seemed really sweet. I thought I'd see if she wanted to go grab some dinner or something."
My heart speed up, what would have happened if I wasn't here? Would she have said yes to this Delivery boy, or would she have told him to scram? I couldn't risk the chance of him coming back and did the only thing I had though rational.
"Sorry kid she's taken." Technically it was a lie, but I was trying to fix that.
"Sorry man I didn't know she had a guy. Though with a chick like that I probably should have guessed. Damn dude you're a lucky one, she's got one hell of a body and god that smile of hers." He smiled and spaced out a bit, no doubt imagining something about Alexandria I'd rather no one think about but me.
"Beat it kid, She's not interested. I don't want to see you here again." With that I had slammed the door on that kid.
I was still seething when Alexandria came in. I think she'd caught on to my mood because she was a little uneasy for a bit. I tried to relax and continued to play with Deli until she decided to watch a movie instead. She dragged me to the couch and put on some Disney movie I'd never seen. I think it was based off the Princess and the Frog fairy tale. Near the end the fell asleep resting on my lap. I looked down at her and felt a warm feeling run through me. I'd never really thought of having kids of my own but this wasn't so bad. I could get use to watching over Delilah, playing with dolls, and watching movie with her. She was a very sweet child, much like her mother. However I'm still surprised by how little she looked like her mother. Delilah was adorable and Alexandria was beautiful but they shared absolutely none of the same features. Different hair color, Eye color, nose shape, face shape, there was no similarity. I would love to see what the father looked like just so I can see how much Delilah looks like him. Actually maybe I shouldn't meet him, just thinking about another man touching Alexandria let alone having sex with her and creating a child is not something I'd rather think about.
Soon the food was ready and Delilah was up again putting in another movie that I had heard advertised for children a million times, Frozen. Alexandria came in with two plates full of pizza and two cups of water. I still can't believe how beautiful this woman is. Even just carrying plates she stirred something inside that I couldn't even place.
Shortly after she went back to the kitchen Rose came in and sat down. We made eye contact and she winked at me. What?
Before Alexandria had had time to sit down Rose was already out of her seat talking about waiting so she could grab something. There was a little awkward silence when she left until Alexandria spoke up. She asked me about why I was frustrated earlier.
