I have three friends and that is it, my guy best friend Jack G, my girl best friend Ellie, and her boyfriend Jack Johnson.

Sure we were well known at school

The boys played on the football team, and Ellie and i were on the volleyball team and ASB.

But we weren't like them. Johnson and Gilinsky weren't like him...

He was perfect

He dated Kayla Hills

He was the star football player

Girls lusted over him

boys admired him

He was Sam Wilkinson

He was my crush

I was staring at him and Kayla with their group of friends, well I sat with mine.

Sam laughed at something as he wrapped his arm around Kayla.

I envied her, she was perfect...she's the 'it' girl

I wish I could take her place for even just one day....for him.

'Whatcha staring at?'Ellie asked me, interrupting my thoughts

'Oh um...nothing' I lied through my teeth

I could tell she was going to ask more questions but luckily the bell rang.

'I'll walk you to class' Gilinsky offered

'Okay' I agreed

We were almost at my class when Madison...jacks girlfriend came up to us

'Hi babe' Madison said before smashing her face to jacks

'Oh hi hon! Didn't even notice you there!' Madison looked at me with a fake smile

'Yeah, oh well have fun making out, I'm going to Calculus' I announced as I rolled my eyes and walked away

Madison was okay, but she was totally fake since she was in Kayla's crew

All of Kayla's crew was fake, I mean, yeah they were drop dead hot, but their personalities fucked it all up.

But that didn't stop boys from falling for them.

I walked in Calculus, and took my seat next to the window.

'Hello Lindsay' my teacher said as he looked up from his papers

I meant to say I have four friends, I forgot to count my Calculus teacher.

'Hi Mr.Hoong' I smiled

Kayla walked in the room catching everyone's eyes, she walked in the room as if she couldn't feel all eyes on her.

'Heyyyy Mr.H' Kayla chirped

'Kayla! Did you study for the test?' Mr.Hoong asked

'Crap! I forgot I was busy with my boyfriend!' She said sadly

'It's okay, I'll just have to give you the test another day' Mr.Hoong said

I hate how she can get literally anything she wants without even asking!

I got out of school and went to the locker room to change to my spandex and white shirt to practice.

When I was done I ran to the gym.

'Hello ladies' coach yelled as the rest of the team arrived

'Today we will practice outside' she explained as the girls complained

'It's not that hot, it's only 97 outside, so shut your mouths and let's get going' she demanded as we walked outside

97 is really hot, I wouldn't be surprised if I fainted.

When I was fully outside i saw that the football players were practicing.

I payed no attention until a football hit me on my head.

'Shit! I'm sorry Linda' someone said

'Ow' was all I could manage out

'Are you okay Linda?' The person asked

'Not really, and my name is Lindsay' I said as I rubbed my head as I felt a ball forming

'Sorry' the person said, I sat up noticing it was Sam suddenly I felt nervous

'O-oh...it's fine, I should go' I said as I stood up to fast, I was going to fall but Sam caught me

'You can't walk to your car alone' he said

'I'm fine' I claimed but I hoped he would still walk me to my car

'No you're not' he shook his head

This is the moment that he will walk me to my car!

'Nate!' He yelled

What? I asked myself

'Yeah?' Nate asked as he jogged next to us

'Walk Linda...sorry I mean Lindsay to her car please' he told Nate

wow there goes my moment alone with Sam

'Ok' Nate agreed and walked me to my car

'Damn you got some nice ass wheels' he admired my brand new Jeep

'You like?' I asked as I laughed

'Nah...I love' he smirked

'Maybe we can go for a spin someday' I told him as I hoped on the drivers seat

'Alright.... you said it' he smirked and walked away

I drive home, no one was home...like usual, dad was working, mom was shopping and my brother still at football practice.

So I showered in my outside shower, and all I thought about was Sammy's smile.

I promised my mom I wouldn't get involved with drugs, but that promise was broken when I saw Sammy smile.
