Ah! Chapter 2! I waited until SOMEONE has seen this. I hope more people will see this and help me improve it!

Well, here it is... Sorry this is so short! I made up for that with a plot twist. DO NOT READ AHEAD!!!!!!!!

CHAPTER 2

"Ready?"

"Do we really have to do this?" complained the budder warrior. Deadlox glared at Sky. "Damn, if looks could kill."

The two of them started on their journey to Squidlandia. Sky chuckled. "Squids are so stupid. Squidlandia, seriously?"

Deadlox heard a slight beeping noise, then saw his pocket lighting up. "Shh! It's TrueMU..." Deadlox shushed Sky. "Hello? Yeah, we just left...... No...... I--..... What?!" Deadlox's mouth hung open and his eyes full of fear and dread. He shut the phone and sprinted back home, leaving Sky in the dust, wondering what had just happened. After collecting his thoughts, Sky ran as well.

The door nearly came off its hinges when Deadlox opened it. TrueMU was lying in his bed hacking terribly and groaning, possibly because the tentacle wrapped around his neck was choking him. Deadlox unsheathed his sword and pointed it towards the Squid King. "Let him go!" yelled Deadlox, his tears on the verge of spilling over. "Take another step and I'll do it!" said the squid, in his unusually serious voice. "Do what?!" asked Deadlox, shaking and bursting with rage. One of the squid's tentacles slithered from TrueMU's back to his chest. There, in full-view, was a three inch long needle with the unmistakable blue glow of lolligoitis poison. Deadlox stared in horror just as Sky wandered into the room breathless. Hunched over and walking over to the chair, not realizing who else was in the room. Sky was oblivious to the needle. The squid dropped TrueMU back into bed, leaped over the barely breathing body, and lunged at the fully armored Skydoesminecraft. Deadlox watched as the sharp blade pierced through. Sky had not been unknowing of the needle. In the split second it took for the squid to attack, Sky had unsheathed his sword and plunged it deep into King Squid's brain.

The dead corpse dropped to the floor as Sky stood up to help his friend TrueMU. But, he had been beaten. Deadlox was already by the sick friend's side comforting him.

As Sky walked over, he was relieved that Squid King hadn't done anything to hurt TrueMU except drop him on the bed from a few feet up in the air. TrueMU was wheezing and nearly throwing up with the terrible coughing. Sky ran and called the doctor as Deadlox held TrueMU in his arms and slightly moving when TrueMU coughed. Deadlox held back the tears until the doctor came and took over. Deadlox then ran out the door and locked himself in his bedroom. TrueMU was discouraged by the sudden departure of his caring friend he reached out to grab him as though he had the strength to. The doctor recognized this and asked, "Do you want me to go get him?" TrueMU nodded put his hand on the wet stains from his own tears.

Deadlox came down from his room and walked over to the hospitalized patient. The doctor had left, but not before ensuring that Dawn had received the twice daily pills. Deadlox sat in the chair and rested his head on the bed and closed his eyes. "It's been pretty stressful. Hasn't it..." He felt TrueMU's nodding shake the bed slightly. He felt TrueMU's hand land on his head and felt the small hand move down his head and back up in an act to comfort him. Deadlox enjoyed this, but didn't want pity from a sickling. In fact, he felt guilty. At least he didn't have the terminal disease of lolligoitis. This furiated Deadlox. And then a truth dawned on him. Squid King was dead and he was the only squid who possibly knew the cure and would possibly cooperate with the well-known squid slayers. Deadlox was done crying. He sucked up the tears and stood up. TrueMU looked up at him with puppy dog eyes. "I'm going to Squidlandia to find your cure," Deadlox answered to an unasked question. TrueMU grabbed Deadlox's arm, not wanting him to go. Deadlox turned around and kissed TrueMU's forehead.

"Yup, you're still warm."
