As children, we were always taught to never, ever talk to strangers. We might get kidnapped, our insides may be ripped out of our bodies and get sold to the black market or we may be sold to creepy rich men who will enslave us for the rest of our lives.

Okay, maybe we didn't really learn that as kids (I learned that when I was fourteen and when I watched Taken, tbh) but it has always been etched in our system to never talk to unfamiliar people...unless certain circumstances scream that we do.

However, meeting new people is also great, right? Especially if they look friendly and not suspicious at all.

---

It was Sunday, about nine in the morning, when I walked down to the nearest convenience store to buy bread and milk. I should've brought them the night before but I was too exhausted.

"Annyeong haseyo," the woman in the counter greeted as I paid for my goods. I bowed and greeted back. This convenience store always had the friendliest workers compared to the others I've been in.

My walk back to the apartment was an interesting one. Aside from the fine Seoul weather, I found a familiar person coming out from a hotel.

Who is that woman again....

I know who she is...

I stopped in my tracks to recall who she was. I couldn't believe what I was doing; I was in my I-woke-up-like-this makeup-less face, green overalls and a bag of bread and milk, looking creepily at a woman whose face looked utterly familiar. I wanted to bite my tongue for not remembering her name.

Almost there... N...a...nad...

She was wearing a black cardigan over a gray crop top and a checked crepe skirt paired with Chelsea boots. On her shoulder hung a black flap handbag and her left hand was holding a silver iPhone 6.

I got the eye of an eagle but I couldn't remember her dang name.

Then, as if some silent lighting hit me and woke my senses up, I came to squeal a little as her name formed in my head.

Nadine Lustre. Nadine Alexis freaking Lustre.

I wanted to run to her to take a selfie but I left my phone charging at home. Talk about WRONG TIMING!

Nadine Lustre is in Seoul!  I've been living in Seoul for almost four years and have not seen a single Philippine celebrity roaming around. I must've been living the lifestyle of a rock. (Though I saw Sandara's legs once. Just her legs cause hordes of fans were blocking me and I had to crawl my way out.)

I literally ran back to my apartment like I was competing in a marathon and immediately grabbed my phone.

Instagram. Instagram. Instagram.

Clearly, that woman barely uses her twitter account. I was shaking as I typed nadzlustre in the search box and even shook harder as her name appeared.

BOOM. Namsan Tower! She was in Namsan Tower yesterday! She was indeed in Seoul and I was so happy.

"This is great! I'm on a five-day leave and Nadine Lustre is here!" I leaped to my bed and rolled around. I halted rolling as I found the photos posted on my wall across the bed. Most people would post their photos with their friends, while traveling, some unforgettable things... but my wall? It was filled with James Reid and Nadine Lustre's photos.

I couldn't believe it. A die-hard JaDine fan like me couldn't even recognize Nadine Lustre?? Shame!

As crazy as it sounded, I made it my leave's mission to find her and talk to her and learn more about her. Anything is possible!
