Chapter Seven- Meet My Dad

-ben's p.o.v-

"How are my two lovebirds" he says

"Uh dad i actually need to talk to you about that. "

"What is it"

"I have a girlfriend i said to lexi i will still stay and support her with the baby but i'm in a relationship with someone else"

"Well ben thats not going to work you should know that. Your going to have to leave her"

"Dad you don't understand i can't I've tried"

"What do you mean?"

"Ive tried leaving her but i love her dad, I've been with a lot of girls dad and told them i loved them just for sex but this one is different. we were friends and then her life at home got similar to mine her dad started going aggressive and she was new to it i supported her and she helped me i felt a connection with her because she knew what it was like. all i wanted to do was protect her. But I made that mistake when I told her to go home and lied to her I could have prevented her getting hurt, but i tried leaving her a few weeks ago when you came back but after i left she went back home and her and her dad got in a big fight guns where involved and now his in jail. today was the first day shes been to school since. i tried to leave but i just couldn't she knows its not going to work like this but i'm willing to give it a try. i can't just leave her i would never forgive myself if i did" i say and he pulls me into a hug

"Where is she now?"

"Probably at home"

"I want to meet her invite her over for tea" He says and i smile

"Thank you dad "

(By the way by 'tea' I mean dinner, in case you were thinking they were sitting around having a tea party! 😂)

-later on at the table-

I'm sitting next to jess and Lexi. i can tell jess doesn't want to be here, i put my hand on her knee to comfort her i look at her plate and she hasn't even touched it

"When was the last time you ate?" I ask

"2 weeks ago"

"How are you still walking" my dad says 

"You should eat"

"I will just throw it up again anyway theres no point " she says and i put my arm around her to reassure her everything's okay and she just looks down

I finish my plate and lexi goes home i tell jess to stay the night and she does i take her up to my room

"Whats up jess? Somethings not right"

"Nothings up, its just this isn't going to work ben and you know it so i don't see any point"

"Jess i love you. just let things go back to the way they were. i'm sick of seeing you like this"

"Whatever" she says And lays down. how am i going to make things better? I pull her close to me and she rest her head on my chest and we fall asleep.
