Sorry for the long wait!!!!!!!!!! And sorry that this is a really short chapter, but I just wanted to make it short and sweet :] Besides, most of my books are too dramatic, so I just wanted this one to settle down and be nice and serene. So, vote! comment! fan! Thanks sooooooo much for not giving up on me and enjoy! (And this is dedicated to Abcjelloxyz for helping me remember to!!)

CHAPTER 6:

            “Whoa . . .”

“I know right? No one ever goes this far into the park because of all the forestry,” he replied softly.

I glanced over at Liam and he was watching the skies. We were sitting in tiny clearing, that barely counted as one. The grass was lush and green and vines wrapped around the tiny bench next to us. If you were quiet, you could hear the rushing of water, the wind whooshing, the chirping of the birds. It was a tiny sanctuary.

Daringly, I let my hand twine with Liam’s. He looked at me, a smile planted on his face. A soft squeeze to my palm was all I needed to be reassured.

Liam led me to the bench and we just sat there in silence, staring at the shapes in the clouds. His warm hand was rubbing my soothingly and shivers traveled up and down my spine.

Gently, Liam subtly pulled me closer to him. I blushed and snuggled closer, wrapping my arms around his waist. His fingertips brushed against my shoulder sweetly and I had a random urge to kiss him. Thinking it would be too sudden and awkward, I stayed where I was and pushed the want away.

            “It’s beautiful,” I murmured softly.

He mumbled, “Not as beautiful as you.”

A tiny, yet jubilant smile lit my face. Even though I wasn’t supposed to hear that, it still made my heart explode. I sat up, my egos yelling at each other for what I was going to do.

            “Liam,” I whispered nearly inaudibly.

He turned to face me, a gentle smile on his face. Before he could reply, I lent forward and pressed my lips down on his. When he started to react, all my egos lost all thoughts and disappeared.

Liam pulled me so I laid on top on him, slightly straddling him. His fingers gripped my waist gently, while his tongue brushed across my bottom lip lightly. Immediately, my lips parted and my fingers crawl up the back of his shirt, only to wrap around his neck. My veins buzzed and ignited, sending me into a whirl of lust.

Slowly, Liam’s fingers made their way up my stomach and around the small of my back. As he started to pull me closer a —

“HEY! YOU TWO! STOP THAT! THIS IS A CHILDREN’S PARK!!!”

Liam and I pull apart, our eyes wide and shocked. Simultaneously, we turned our heads to face the person who interrupted us. Oh crap, it was a park guard.

“Come here, right now!” he shouted.

I got up and started heading towards the guard, face flushed in shame and eyes cast downwards. Liam came up behind me and gripped my fingers.

            Suddenly he yelled, “RUN!!”

My eyes shot up, and before I knew it, Liam was dragging us away from the park guard. I got my legs to work and soon was dragging him along. The shouts of the angry park guard faded; he was no match for two fit teens.

We ran through the playground while moms screeched at us for nearly running into baby strollers. Kids screamed, and one fell off the little rocking horse when I jumped over him as if he was a hurdle.

“Sorry!” I cried to the people, still laughing.

Liam and I finally got out of the park and stood in the middle of the streets. We were in a part of town I didn’t recognize. It was very urban and modernized; very different from the suburban life I was used to. It was grey with splashes of colors, but not bleak or dull at all.

“Wow, that was fun,” Liam said, panting from the exertion.

I laughed louder and clutched my sides. “Gawd, did you see that one mom’s face?! It looked like she just saw a friggin’ gang fight go down or something! Hahahahaha!”

Liam chuckled while I snorted and chortled very unladylike.

“It was amazing,” I told him honestly, remembering the tiny meadow.

Liam glanced down at my awestruck face and a smile danced on his tempting lips. He leaned down slowly, and I grasped his shirt expectantly.

Our lips connected and all the world faded so it was only Liam and I. And also the electricity in my veins and stuff, but really just Liam and I. Liam and me. Me and Liam.

Dimly, I was aware of water pelting down on us, but shoved the thought aside. My lips stayed glued to Liam’s while I wondered why it had rained though the sky was clear. I shrugged it off; weather inTexas was always unpredictable.

The adrenaline in my body pulled me back to Liam’s body and I kissed him deeper.

The last coherent thought in my mind was, I’ve always wanted to kiss in the rain.
