Burnt Vegan Cake and Spaghetti

It was Valentine's Day and you had a brilliant idea. To make Andy, your boyfriend of two years. A cake. Of course it would be a vegan cake but there was one large problem. You couldn't bake and last time you tried making something for Pete's birthday you set the oven on fire meaning Patrick would start singing 'light em up.' As everyone told him to shut up.

You made the mix and put it in the oven, smiling at your work. Finally you had made it to this stage but now was the dreaded oven part. Hopefully, Andy wasn't going to be back from rehearsals until later according to Joe giving you quite a lot of time. 

You decided to sit on your bed for a while, you slowly drifted off to sleep. You were awakened by the smell of smoke. Oh no. You had left the oven on.

Luckily, someone had put it out.
Gerard. Gerard was your next door neighbour and had a spare key to your house as you would consider yourself 'accident prone.' He was a best friend of yours.

"Y/n. I don't know what you have done but it smells nice. You burnt it though." He says placing the hard, black cake on the table and cracking up.

"What the fuck is this!" Gerard declares in between laughter.
"A cake." You sigh and face palm. Andy would be here in around half an hour. Gerard looked at you happily and got a tub of ice cream.

"Gerard. Andy is vegan." You trail off. Gerard gets some spaghetti and starts cooking it.
You look at him confused. He finished cooking it and puts it on a plate.
"We could try- ummm." Gerard tries to finish the sentence but the door opens, you push Gerard behind the counter and he slips through the door.

"Hey honey- what is this." He says picking up the burnt cake which was rock hard and looking at the spaghetti.
"Happy Valentine's Day!" You say with as much enthusiasm as possible.

"Y/n this isn't perfect, but it is adorable and you tried hard. I love you so much." Andy says wrapping his arm around you. The rest of the day you had a movie marathon. It was still a good Valentine's Day nonetheless. 💕
