Heather's POV
"Bitch! Where were you yesterday?! I had to sit through all my lessons on my own! I almost died without you woman!" Natalia shouts, bursting my eardrums.
"Jesus Nat! Calm the fuck down! I wasn't in because I still have a fucked up face," I explain, reality spreading across her face.
You guys are all probably wondering who Natalia is and why she's here. Well Natalia is my best friend. She has waist length blonde hair and the most amazing green eyes ever! Honestly, they're amazing! We met in first grade when I was trying to eat some chocolate when we wernt aloud to. She grassed me up, being the goody two shoes she is, and I got caught. From then on we have been best friends and our friendship has been growing stronger and stronger. We've been through thick and thin, sticking to each others sides like glue. She knows about my parents and my street racing life, so I'm not hiding anything from her. Her dad had died after she was born and her mother is a nice middle aged woman who owns the coffee shop down the road. She's really nice and friendly, and I even consider her as my second mother.
So yeah, that's Natalia. She's here because I didn't turn up to school today. Well she can't blame me. I had a small accident when practising a course on Saturday and I still have some small cuts on my face. I can't attend school because if I do people will get suspicious. I'm no nerd or anything, I'm just an average student there.
"I'm sorry Heather," She says, giving me a quick hug. I hug her back and smile, "It's fine."
"Well," She says pulling away from the hug, making me laugh, "Now that you've forgiven me, we need to talk about something."
Suddenly she pulls me into my bedroom and slams the door shut.
"George asked me out."
"Oh. My. G-" I get cut off by her laughing.
"Y-you should ha-have seen you're f-face!" She laughs, stuttering.
"What the fuck Nat! You little shit," I joke, throwing a pillow at her.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. But the look that you gave me was hilarious!" She snickers.
George is one of our friends. We met in seventh grade and we're all stuck to the hip. He's a popular, but neither myself or Nat are. Nat could become one but she doesn't want to. She says that popularity isn't her thing, when both George and I know she loves it very much.
Anyways, the reason why I was shocked that George had asked Nat out was because he has a crush on me. Yeah, it was awkward at first when he admitted it but I'm used to it now.
"Thinking about lover boy, huh Scar?" Natalia says right in my ear, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"W-what, no. I wasn't," I stutter, not sure what to say. I don't like him back, ew, that's just, ew. No, I love him as a brother. Just like I love Nat like my sister.
"Suuuuure," She teases. Because George has a crush on me, she says that I have a crush on him, as a joke.
"Nat, you know I don't," I state, walking over to my dresser and tying up my hair into a bun.
"Okay, okay. Fine. But I've got to admit, you are so adorable when you get annoyed!" She exclaims.
"Oh ha ha," I say sarcastically.
"Anyways, the reason why I wanted to talk to you was because I think George is hitching onto the fact that you're a street racer. He kept on asking me to come with him to your next race! He also wanted you to come along too but that wouldn't work, would it?" She says, spazzing out a little, "You need to tell him."
"What?!" I shout, choking on air, "I can't! The only reason why you know is because you grew up with me. He didn't."
"Heather. He's known you for years, as have I. Don't you think it's time? He's been your best friend for ages! And I don't like the fact that I know and he doesn't. This is a really big secret Scar... You can't keep it from him like this," She says.
I think for a while. Should I? It makes a lot of sense for me not to tell him. But then again it makes a lot of sense for me to go and tell him. But what if he hates me?
He won't. He likes you, remember? My inner voice says.
"Okay, I will. But how will we do this?" I ask, "And oh my God if you're not with me when I tell him then I will flip shit!"
"I'll be there, don't worry! And I have a plan," She smirks.
Oh no, this can't be good...
