Chapter 17 A new beginning

Midnight pov

Back on earth I wait for my new student Mary. She has all black wings and a big temper I knew I could ask for Julie's help if I needed it but I don't think that I will. I mean I have the power to read minds and give pain on command and it's been a whole year so this one was my second one training so I think I'll be good. I saw her as she came up to the door she wore a black dress, a jean jacket, combat boots, a black necklaces with a purple gem on it, and short hair she looked really pretty and I love that Jean jacket. "Hey I'm Midnight and I'm the one who is going to help you get your wings from black to white." Gosh I sounded so cheery I hate it but I did sign up for this so I'll give it my all. "Yea hey I'm Mary is there a bar around here I need a drink." Oh no she didn't I could tell this was going to be hard she should be lucky she got me and not some other Angel. "No there isn't but I'll be happy to make you a drink inside and I won't take that tone of voice with me are we clear." I gave she a little pain to show her whose boss around here and she didn't even move a mussel at the pain I gave her. "Yea my powers are shield and shape shifting so you know." Oh that's why I couldn't give her pain damn it was going to be hard.

Julie pov

Today Midnight was going to get a new broken angel and I was happy for her she was becoming more like me everyday It's been a whole year cents the thing with Ashley happened. And we all forgot about it expect Midnight she had a Nightmare once in a while about Ashley and how she went with her instead of just killing her right then and there. But we all forgave her in the end and she was still my sister so I couldn't just leave her. Morghann visits very often to see how Midnight is holding up and how she likes her job I really do think they have a thing for each other but I'm not going to say anything it could hurt there friendship and I don't want that.

Midnight pov

Mary came in and grabbed a seat and turned on the TV like she was at home "Are you comfy can I get you something pillow, food, drink?" she looked up at me and put a smile on. "Yes please could I have a diet soda." I was shocked she said please. "Sure and thank you for using please." She continued to watch TV today they had on a walking dead marathon and she was watching that good thing it just started "Sure I'm only mean when I meet new people but you seem nice." I gave her a little smile and knew this was going to be a perfect year!
