Twin Skeletons was written about the hiatus. It was decided in New York in a hotel room. "Just to get me through the night till we're twins again" Pete considers Patrick almost his brother, his other half. "A birth and a death on the same day" the death of Fall Out Boy but the birth of Soul Punk. "Keep making trouble till you find what you love" Pete was referring to Patrick making the music that he wanted since he wanted to change the sound of Fall Out Boy. "I need a new partner in crime" Pete has often referred to Patrick as his "partner in crime" during many interviews.
