Chapter 9:

Werewolf poem:

A blackness clings like death itself,
sucking my marrow dry
My destiny lost in time,
last laments have no reply

Wicked sorrow leaves me tattered,
in pieces on the floor
Its carnage undeniable,
left ashen to the very core

Vile hatred lives inside,
a bitter me I've never known
A vicious monster staring back
evil I have grown

In the darkness where I live,
emptiness does feed my rage
So heinous is the midnight beast,
whence left out of his cage

Sweet velvet drips from teeth and chin,
destroyer of mankind
I hunger for the sound of screams,
this conscience cold and blind

Delicate this meal I chase,
with the scent of fairest skin
Delectable the wreckage left,
a reckoning begins

Just a stain left on the earth,
flesh ripped right from her bones
Every single inch of future gnawed,
only ivory shown

Howling at this nefarious orb,
which rules me by the night
Waking drenched in sheer disgust,
to morning's golden light

Jade P.O.V.

We've spent our first night here. It was hard for me to sleep, something inside of me was keeping me awake.
I kept hearing a beautiful female voice that I've never heard before. It kept telling me to stay awake.
I sighed, "I'm so tired".
'You still should have stayed up, I really wanted to talk to you' a voice inside me said.
"Huh" I said confused.
'You heard me asshole' the voice replied.
"Um, why am I hearing a voice in my head" I asked myself.
'I'm not a voice, I'm the other half of you' the voice said.
"My wolf" I asked.
'Well duh' my wolf says.
"Oh wow I never heard you before" I said smiling.
'You never listened' she said.
"I'm sorry" I said to her.
'Whatever, also you can stop talking out loud. Before people start thinking you're a weirdo' my wolf says.
"Okay" I agreed.

Prince P.O.V.

It was kind of weird sleeping in a room that wasn't yours. It was hard to sleep thinking about Jade. I need her to know that we're made for each other. Today she will be claiming her throne, so I have to keep my feelings on the down low.

*wolf starts to speak in Portuguese*

'Bro, why are you holding back' my wolf asks.
'I don't know, I just don't want to scare her' I say in my mind to my wolf.
'Fuck that, her wolf will know what to do' he tries to convince me.
'She hasn't connected with her wolf yet' I tell him.
'Doesn't mean nothing Rafael' my wolf tells me.
'Stop calling me by my real name, Ezequiel' I tell my wolf with an Alpha tone.
'Bro, that Alpha tone won't work with me. We're Alpha together. And I don't like the name Prince' my wolf says.
'Just deal with it' I tell my wolf...

Stan P.O.V.

Today my daughter will become the queen. I hate that I'm giving her such a huge responsibility, but I have no choice. I have to be there and support her. I have to prepare to let her go.
I'm glad I woke up extra early and took a shower. I have to make sure the kids are awake we have to be at Artemis temple at 12:00 noon and it's 10:33 now. It'll be a 30 minute drive to there from our hotel, but I have to make sure everyone is ready.
I walked out my room and the first room I made it to was Vincent. I knocked and waited for at least a minutes for him to answer.
"Why good morning" he said with a smirk.
"Good morning" I said looking at him up and down. I realized that's he's just in his underwear. "Get ready, we will be meet up in the lobby at 11:00" I said to him walking away. I then zigzag to Prince's room and did the same as I did with Vincent. And did the same with Oliver and Sasha when I make it to Jade room. I knock softly, and she opens automatically.
"Hi dad" Jade tells me.
"Good morning sweetheart" I say to her.
"Well I'm ready to go" she tells me, when I realized that she's dressed already.
"Everyone else isn't" I look at my watch and it's 10:40. "You want to go for a quick walk around the hotel".
"Sure" she answers me with a smile.

Jade P.O.V.

"So dad my birthday is coming up and I'd like to have a party" I tell my dad.
"What kind of party" Stan asks.
"Well I don't know yet" I look down.
"Well it's going to be your 18th birthday. Might as well do something huge, just tell me what you want to do and I'll pay for it" he told me with a smile.
I looked at him for a second and just hugged him. And he hugs back, "I love you dad"...

We make it to the lobby, we found everyone but Luke. "Where's Luke" I ask.
"He decided to stay at the hotel and enjoy the city" my dad answers me.
We walk out the hotel and find two Lincoln Navigators. My dad nodded at both of the men driving them. My dad leads me to the front one and we both get inside and Prince happens to follow us. My dad sat at the front, it was kind of awkward.

Prince P.O.V.

I'm trying my very best to keep my cool. She's so beautiful, she's smells amazing everything about her is perfect to me. She seems a little uneasied with me being in the SUV with her. I should have just went to the other one. I'll just put in my ear buds and hope for the best.

Jade P.O.V.

I notice Prince putting in ear buds and looking away from me. For some reason I wasn't happy with that at all. I just look at him, I look down at his arms, and notice how muscular they are and how nice of a body he has all and all. His clothes are not hiding his muscular body, and his smell is just amazing. I want to scoot closer to him but I can't without looking like a weirdo.
I let out a sigh and look out the window. The view of the city is just amazing, not good enough to take my mind off of Prince.

We made it to some type of temple. I was so big and so beautiful. I finally made it to my thorne. I think my dad noticed me looking at the temple with awe.
"That's the Temple of Artemis" he says.
"The Greek Goddess" I ask.
"Yes she's your grandmother and also the moon goddess the the werewolves worship" he replies...
