If things are hard to understand: This is Gajeels Notebook, and a few of his entries from his past. Levy is reading them to try and gain information on him.
December 9, xxxx 7:54P.M.
It's time. Tonight I'm leaving. My escape will be covered by the heavy fog, hopefully my plan succeeds. I can't stand being locked up and used anymore. I will catch the next shipment boat back to Fiore.December 9, xxxx 4:20A.M.
I can feel my stomach turn as I sit hidden between two large fish crates. I can hear the sirens as well as see the search lights scan the shore. It's too late, the boat has left port and avoided inspection. I wouldn't be writing right now, due to my sickness, but I must record these kinds of moments, they're important to remember.I closed the book as I started to hear a strange ringing coming from my bag.
~Ring ring ring~
I grabbed my bag and put it on the picnic table I was now sitting on at the park. I left the Library right when I found General Redfoxs Notebook, knowing I wouldn't be able to face Papa with it in my possession. After digging all the way to the bottom of my bag, I picked up a small Lacrima sphere. I haven't used one myself, but I've read about them in a book.
"A communication device?"
~Ring ring ring~
"Oh!" I said as I opened the message.
"Levy?" I could see Josephine within the sphere.
"Yes! Josephine."
"Ah, good. I only have a few minutes so tell me, how is your mission coming along?"
"Actually I've come across something that might just be able to lead me to his whereabouts."
"Josephine?" I heard a man in the background call out. "Good good, now sorry I must go. Fill me in later. I will be checking in with you weekly to see how things are coming along. Levy I'm counting on you. Good luck." Josepine kindly reassured then signed off.
"Jeeez" I sighed laying my head on top of the picnic table.
I picked up the book and held it in my hands. Luckily I studied Dragon Script a little when I was younger because the whole book was written in it. Though I didn't sense evil radiating off of it, but more of sorrow.
"Why does Papa seem so scared of him? Did Papa even understand Dragon Script? I don't think Papa knew General Redfoxs past quite enough."
Well, I had my first clue. I picked up my bag and headed to the Magnolia Train station. There I would catch the earliest train I could to the city of Hargeon, where all ports and shipments come in. Even though this book was written years ago, and General Redfox could be anywhere, this was the first place I could think of heading.
I arrived in the busy city of Hargeon the next morning because it was only neighborhing Magnolia. I hopped off the train and walked through the streets headed towards the docks. I entered the part of the city that started to reek of fish. I pulled my shirt up to cover my nose, even though people started giving me dirty looks. I admit I was a little afraid, walking past groups of sailors just hanging out on the side of the roads. I could feel all their eyes on me and it made me shake. I didn't make eye contact with anyone, keeping them focused on my little map.Bump!
My heart stopped, I knew I screwed up.
"Hey! Watch where you're going!" I towering man turned around, with dirty smirk.
His eyes pierced through mine, and he knew I was terrified. With no good intentions he grabbed my arms.
"I'm very sorry!" I could feel my whole body tremble when you grabbed me.
"Aw, there's no need to be sorry sweetie." He smirked "But if you're really sorry I guess I'll have to make sure you do something for me as an apology." He said louder making the men around him grin and laugh.
"Please let go of me now!" I said snapping out of my trama. "As a member of the Council I order you!"
"Hey, what's going on over here?"
I heard foot steps approaching, and I immediately fell to the ground as the large man dropped me. They all looked at me lying on the floor then slowly walked away in disappointment. Soon enough there was no one in the streets anymore. I slowly lifted my head up to see a pair of boots not even two inches from my face.
"Uh?" I said looking up.
"Get up, you look like an idiot."
"Oh, right!" I remembered jolting back up onto my feet. "Thank you very much for what you just did!"
"Tck, I only did it to keep my authority around here." He said already turned and walking away.
"Wait! Please!" I said running after him "My name is Councilmen Mcgarden, could I ask you some things?"
"No, go away, I don't deal with Council Members." He scoffed
I was some what offended by his childish behavior.
"And why might that be?" I yelled back at him.
"Because they're ignorant, controlling, selfish, dimwitted fools."
"What makes you think that!?"
"I don't think, I know." He stopped and said as he turned his head to look me in the eye.
His eyes looked at me but his mind looked passed me. Immediately I looked down to the ground escaping his gaze. I could tell he wanted nothing to do with me.
"Eh." I completely forgot what we were discussing. "Well..." I stuttered
"This isn't some place for someone like you." He turned and continued walking. "Someone so small."
I was barely able to catch what he last said. I watched him walk away, hair blowing in the wind, untill he disappeared into the fog.
Ignoring that whole experience, I found myself sitting inside an Inn located in Hargeon Port. I took off my long Council coat and made a disgusted face.
"Dammit, that idiot that dropped me got my coat all dirty. I just got this."
After trying to get off as much of the dirt stains as possible. I fell straight asleep, not even noticing how damp and alone I was that night.
Sorry guys this Chapter kinda sucks.
