* Nialls POV*

I shut the door behind her, not even bothering to lock it. It pains me to wtch her climb into hiscar, but i do anyways. He drives away quickly, almost recklessly. I roll my eyes and walk in to the kitchen. I open the fridge and pull out the leftovers from when Harry cooked us dinner two nights before.

See, thats the great thing about Harry. Randomly, he'll come over and use whatever i've got in my pantry to cook for us. "You've got to stop eating out so much," he'll scold, and even still he'll have a smile on his face. Unlike the other boys, he'll let me breathe down his neck. " Youve got to leanr some way." But the best thing about him is, he always cooks more than enough food and he makes sure the left overs are easy to reheat.

Just as I'm about to sit and eat, therte is a loud knocking at the door. I roll my eyes and shove a huge forkfull in to my mouth running to the door.

" I need you Niall,: Liam says as i open the door. He pulls me out the door by my shirt, barely closing it behind me.

" I've gopt a date with Danielle and i need new sneakers," he says, a deep seriousness in his eyes. I laugh loudly, breaking his tense gaze, as i slip in to the passeneger side of his car.

" Why didn't you ask Lou?'

" Because," he laughs, " he'll convince me to buy the whole store." I shrug my shoulders, smirking slightly.

" I don't see why you need a whole new pair though,". He rolls his eyes, trying to ignore me. The sound of the tires gliding over the wet pavement hums under our voices. Every now and again, Liam checks his phone, hoping to see a new text from Danielle. Even still, we dont sway but an inch from the center of the road. He smiles, content with himslef and his driving skills, ultimately mocking mine,When we finally pull in to the p[arking lot, it's practically empty. The clouds covering the dark sky make it feel so much later than it actually is.

" Please be quick Liam," i mumble.

" Black or Purple?" he asks, a firm seriousness in his tone.

I roll my eyes, "why does the colour of your laces matter?" He stares back at me, dumbfounded, as if the answer was an ovious one. Annoyed, I slap the purple ones from his hand. He smiles, finally ready to pay. We stroll over to the register, a slight blush in our cheeks. The store should have closed fifteen minutes ago, and the only other peson here is a dull-eyed, blonde cashier, probably in her late years of highschool. As we approach, her eye4s brighten. She twirls a finger in her limp hair and bats her thick eyelashes. Pulling the end of her shirt down, she draws her shoulders back, so as to 'increase' the size of her breasts. While she rings Liams shoes and laces up, her eyes never leave my face.

" Can i get you anything," she asks through a toothy grin. I shake my head no, more focused on the text im answering.

"NIall," Liam scolds,punching me in the arm. She leans forward, propping her head up on her palm.

" I'm Staci," she says, smiling widely.

"Lovely," I mumble, uninterested.Liam clears his throat, properly introducing the both of us. " Can we go now?" I murmur. He huffs, grabbing his bag.

" Have a lovely evening," he yells to her. She waves slightly, taken back a little. " That was quite rude Niall," Liam says as we walk to the car. I look up at him, Puzzled. " She liked you Niall!" I shrug my shoulders, not sure of what to say.

The car ride home is silent. Every now and again Liam chuckles at some witty comment made over the radio. It isnt until he pulls up in front of my flat that he speaks again.

" All i'm saying is that you should explore some new possibilities. That's all."
