After about 5 hours of walking I arrived in Skyridge.
It was warm and underneath the cloth I wore around my head I was sweating and red.
I wasn't too far off now so I ignored the heat and kept going on to Krane street.
I couldn't stop thinking about Fox and what he'd told me, he didn't know how it happened... But because he was there he's being hunted like me...
Somehow I wasn't sure he'd told me the whole truth, I had a sinking feeling he was hiding something from me and I was determined to find out what.
I am a curious person by trade, and who wouldn't if you couldn't remember a thing before waking up in a life threatening situation?
I coughed making sure to keep the cloth clamped tight over my mouth, it was dense enough to keep the poison in the air out and thin enough to breath through.
I made sure Fox new this, he was good company, I still don't trust him but for once it was good not to feel like the EOA's only target.
I pushed open the door and walked in, shutting the door tight behind me. I turned on the air con which I had modified in my last visit with some damp cloth, duct tape and some other bits and pieces.
I swear, duct tape can fix anything.
After a few minutes I walked into the kitchen and took off the cloth placing it on the bench.
I walked upstairs and into the first room on my left.
I liked the quiet here, its a good escape from reality and almost makes it seem like for a few minutes, I wasn't being hunted as a fugitive. The room smelled strongly of dust and wood, I had to be carful with my step, although it may be the least destroyed house in Skyridge, doesn't mean it's safe.
The floorboards were rotting and one wrong move could mean falling downstairs and causing an injury. Which is not a good idea considering no one else lives in the whole bloody town.
I walked over to the bed on the opposite side of the room and lifted the mattress to get to the storage compartment.
Out of secret tunnels and secret compartments, sometimes one persons easy living innovation like under bed storage is the best, so simple people forget to look.
After taking out my pack I walked back downstairs and put it on the bench.

I checked everything was in the bag before walking into the lounge and flopping down leaning my head back. The silence was wonderful. Until the sanity shattering sound of a knock on the door broke my thoughts.
I stood up slowly.
Unless Fox decided to follow me straight way, he shouldn't have arrived for at least another hour..
Walking to the door I grabbed the cloth wrapping it tightly around my mouth and opening the door.
Sighing I pulled Fox into the house and shut the door. Restarting the filter I placed the cloth back onto the couch.
"A car? Really? The whole point of a place like Skyridge is that no one is here, if anyone picks up on the fact there is a working car-"
"but they won't, help me hide it, I have a tarp to put over it in the back"
Casually he sat down on the couch taking off his mask and placing it next to him.
