"Mom where's the tape?" I yell from the living room.

"Why?" She yelled back.

"To duct tape Kaden mouth shut!" I yell aggravated.

"Winter leave your brother alone, and finish unpacking!" My mom yelled at me, and then my brother Kaden smirked and kicked me.

"OW YOU SON OF A -" I scream and before I could finish Kaitlyn my sister yelled at me quietly.

"Better watch your mouth before mom hears you." Kaitlyn said while nudging me in the arm.

"Ugh, why do we have to be here?" I say slightly irritated, and I begin unpacking again.

"Because Dad got a job in Chicago." Kaden interrupted while smiling, and leaning against the door frame.

"Yeah, but why the south part it's so -" I say interrupted once again by Kaitlyn.

"Frightening?"

"Yeah ugh just thinking about gives me chills. Why couldn't we just stay where we was?" I ask and then our Dad walks in.

"Because we have better opportunities here." He says while helping us unpack.

"You've got to be kidding me." Kaitlyn says laughing.

"I'm not. Now finish unpacking you should be glad you guys have your own rooms now." He says trying to reinsure us, but I don't buy it.

"I don't know I actually liked having Kaitlyn's company." I smile.

"Says the one who kept complaining about her taking your stuff." Kaden says laughing.

"Why the fuck were you born?" I say under my breath.

"Same reason you're here." He says and I look at him in confusion like how did he hear me.

"Trust me I hear everything." He chuckles and walks away to finish unpacking in his room, and is followed by Dad.

I open a box and it's a picture framed of me and my best friend Emily. Man do I miss her so much right now. Now how am I supposed to make new friends in the middle of the school year. I sit the frame on my night stand at least that was the last box of the stuff. The other things in the box was CD's and magazines. Then I hear the doorbell ring, and I yell I got it and run down stairs.

I open the door and see a girl who looks like she's 15 with brown hair longish hair.

"Hi, I'm Debbie Gallagher." She said excitedly and sticks her hand out.

"I'm Winter." I smile and shake her hand.

"Nice name."

"Thanks. Wanna come in?" I ask her since it was a little cool outside.

"Thanks." She smiled and walked in.

"Winter who is it?" My dad yells from upstairs.

"A neighbor." I yell back.

"Let's go to my room." I say while grabbing her arm and pulling her.

"Okay." She giggled. As we get upstairs Kaden is standing right there.

"Who's this?" He asks.

"Debbie." I say.

"Well it's nice to meet you." He said and winked then left.

"Oh god don't pay no attention to that creature of Satan." I saw laughing and she laughed.

I sit on my bed and she sits at my desk.
