It was my second-to-last day of summer and I was on my way to meet Anna at Panera. Justin and I had been texting quite often but we only met in real life twice over the course of 2 weeks. We were both pretty busy. I couldn't wait to meet Anna. I wondered so many things. Is she tall or short? Does she have dark hair or light hair? Is she really girly or not really girly at all? Does she focus on grades and school or not care at all? I wondered all of these things just on my way to Panera.
When I got there she immediately stood up and I confirmed that I was indeed Callie. She seemed very nice. Mostly all of my questions were answered over our little get together. She was average height, she had brown hair, she seemed a little girly, but mostly quirky, and she seemed like the kind of person who would be focused on grades and school instead of partying but I had only seen her once.
We talked and I told her most people call me Callie but I don't mind being called Cal. We also talked a little about Justin but not too much because we were here to learn about each other, we can talk about him later. She said she'd love to hang out with me during school and we hoped to have classes together.
After getting to know Anna at Panera, we did a little shopping. She said she went shopping about every weekend but she didn't always get stuff, she just liked being out. I didn't go shopping too often but I did love getting out. We bumped into some of Anna's friends, Baylee and Marissa, and we talked for a minute or two. They were really nice, too, however they seemed more girly than Anna. I was so glad I got to meet a few people before school started.
It was getting a little late and I needed to be home for dinner so I headed home. By the time I got home it was 6:07. We had spaghetti for dinner. I loved my moms spaghetti. It was soooo good after a long day. My parents asked how meeting Anna was and what all we did. I told them she was really nice and fun and that we went shopping and ended up bumping into some of Anna's friends. Overall it was a pretty fun day.
After dinner, I went upstairs and got on my laptop. I watched about one or two episodes of Friends on Netflix everyday. I loved the show Friends. Definitely one of my favorites. I watched 2 episodes that night because I went upstairs kind of early. At the end of the second episode it was about 9:00. It seemed kind of late, but between the first and second episode, I cleaned my room and had a popsicle. After reading for almost an hour, I decided to go to bed to get in the school routine.
The next day I woke up with a text from Justin and a text from an anonymous number. After I read the text from Justin saying, "I gave Anna your number, I think she wants to talk to you about tomorrow." I realized the other text was from Anna.
She wanted to hang out today at the beach. Of course I said yes. I had no plans, and a friend to get even closer to before school started.
It was our last day of summer, so I was kind of bummed, but at least I got to spend it with a new friend. She said Justin would be there too and it just made me even more happy!
We met around 11:30ish and then when we a started to get a little hungry, we had a mini picnic in the sand. After that, Justin and I went in together while Anna tanned for a little while, although she didn't exactly need it. Then we all got in and swam around and jumped waves. Overall it was really fun.
At about 4:00 they had to leave because they had company coming over for dinner so they had to get cleaned up. I went back home, watched some Friends while reorganizing my room a little. I got a call from Justin saying he wanted to meet me at the beach before whoever was coming, came to his house.
We met up a little left from my house and a little right from his, right about in the middle. He told me he really liked me and wanted to know if I would go out with him. Of course I said yes because he was such an amazing person. He was so nice and understanding. How could I turn that down?
I couldn't believe it. School hadn't even started and I had a boyfriend, a best friend, and I had already met two other really nice girls! I was ready for this year!
