Hide x Kaneki... (Tokyo Ghoul)

Chapter 4- We're on our way, Kaneki.

Hide's POV:
It's been 17 hours since the disappearance of Kaneki. The anger and guilt of not being strong enough to save Kaneki run throughout my cold, unfeeling body. What if he doesn't come back!?
I'll never be able to see him... Talk to him... Hug him and tell him everything will be okay. I sound so gay right now... But, Kaneki's my best friend and I need him. I stand from the middle of my apartment and stretch out my stiffened arms//legs. I rush to my jacket and head on out the door. Maybe Touka's found some info on that purple haired freak.

I reached the closed Anteiku and without a second thought, I barged on in. Roma dropped and smashed a cup at my presence. "E-Excuse my Mr, we're not open right now! Didn't you see the sign!?" Roma said with sudden shaking in her voice. "Sorry ma'am, I was looking for Touka." I mumbled rubbing the back of my head awkwardly. "She's right here, what'd want?" Touka appeared from behind the counter, with a cold glare.

"It's about Kaneki, you found anything?"

"Uh~ yes... I have a lead and I'll be Leaving later tonight."

"What!? You shouldn't go alone! We should tell someone!"

"Hide, you take me as some weakling. I'm stronger than I look and plus, I know who took Kaneki and he's nothing! I can kick his ass fair and square!" Touka smirked, taking off her apron.
"Don't worry Hide, Kaneki's gonna be okay. I promise." Before Touka had the chance to walk into the changing rooms, I grabbed her arm and spun her around so that she and I were face-to-face.
"I'm not going to let you go alone. I'm coming too!"
Touka shrugged me off as if to say whatever. I'm surprised she didn't put up a fight. I turn to Roma and nodded, taking my seat. Roma obviously took my signal and placed a cup a coffee in front of me. "It's going to be a rough battle, are you sure you're up to it?" Roma asked with a worried expression on her face. "I'm not scared, I'd to anything for Kaneki!"
At that Monet Touka burst back into the room, in her usual jacket and jeans.
"You sound like a lil bitch when you speak like that, c'mon lets go." Touka scolded. I sighed. It's true.
I am a lil pussy. I chugged down the remaining coffee and walked on out with Touka.

((Still Hide's POV:))
We've been walking for 1 hour... 1 long hour. Touka doesn't seem to bothered by the long walk but me on the other hand... I'm ready to collapse. At that thought Touka stopped in her path, making me bump into her. "What..? What is it?" I puffed, gripping my knees, trying to catch my breath.
"We're here." I looked up and before us... Stood a massive gate, surrounding... A big ass mansion.

Touka turned to me with aggressiveness and clenched her fists.
"I'm heading in. I want YOU to stay here and keep guard."
"Why would I have to keep guard? Shouldn't I be protecting you, my little lady?" I winked. She just glared. Maybe flirting isn't the best option right now. I straighten up and put on the tough guy act. "Ahem. Yes. Perhaps we should go in together?" I suggested. Touka shook her head, disagreeing.
"I said no. Stay here and keep guard. If you're in trouble call me." She opened the gate and stepped in. "What if you're in trouble!?" I asked stepping after her. "Then... I'll call you?" She turned around, giving a warm smile before running off again. The gate slammed shut behind her. I stood there worthless as ever.

It's been around 10 minutes since I last saw Touka... I haven't heard anything. It's dead silent. I'm standing around doing nothing whilst Touka is fighting for Kaneki. Wait... Is there even a fight? Is Kaneki even in trouble? I slightly open the gate and poke my head in the yard, to take a peek. It seems quiet... But I have to be sure everyone's okay. Without a second thought, I step into the yard and make my way inside.
