Chapter 7- Can't Catch Me!!

Hide's POV:

It took me a while to finally catch Kaneki's attention whilst having coffee at Aneiku. He was too hooked on his book to notice me drinking HIS coffee.

Hide's POV:

I can't believe him! I take him out for coffee, I even paid for the coffee, and he didn't bat an eye! I don't know what to do to get Kaneki to notice me! He truely is the worst... I nuzzle my face into my pillow for comfort. For some odd reason, my pillow smelt an awful lot like Kaneki... NO! YOU CAN'T CATCH ME GAY THOUGHTS!! HAHAH!

Maybe I should take a shower and cool down a bit... Yeah, That sounds like a great idea.

Gay Thought's POV:

Hide's POV:

"Stupid Kaneki always hitting on Touka-Chan that way!! When will he take my feelings into heart?!" I mutter to myself wiping my face dry. I feel my eyes start to well up at the thought Kaneki. This is bad!! If this carries on I won't have the strength to face Kaneki tomorrow! My feelings and urges for Kaneki gets stronger and stronger by the minute.

I throw my towel on the floor and dive back onto my bed. Tomorrow!! After class I'll ask to Kaneki to meet up at the park. The usual spot we used to hang at as kids! There... I'll tell him my true feelings towards him.

It's probably Hide...
I sigh, not bothering to check the message. But- If I ignore him he'll have a little fit.

I pull my phone out of jacket and quickly scan over the message.

Hide: Hey KenKen!! How've you been and all? Good, good. Anyway, I was wondering on if you'd like to meet up at the park in our usual spot after classes... There's something I gotta tell you. I'll be waiting!!

Huh...? I guess I don't really have a choise here. Oh well! I'm not busy and I don't think I have work this afternoon. Sounds great!

I shove my phone back into my pocket and scurry off to class. Why am I so excited to see Hide? We see eachother almost everyday. I wonder what he wants to tell me...? Did he finally win Touka-Chan over? Okay... Enough questions. Let's focus on class.

Hide's POV:

I stand over the same old pond on the same old bridge, looking into my same old reflection, waiting for the not so same old Kaneki. There's something about this place that's calming.

I smile down at my reflection. It's probably calming 'cause it reminds me of Kaneki.
Calm, cool and quiet.

"HIDE!!"

I turn to the out of breath Kaneki, kneeling and panting before me.
"S-Sorry I'm late... I got caught up with class." He panted. "Heh! It's all good. Would you like a drink..?" I pull a water bottle from my bag and hand it to Kaneki. "T-Thanks..." He mumbled into the mouth of my water bottle, taking a sip.

I'm having second thoughts... What if he wants to continue being childhood friends...? Or what if this relationship destroys our childhood friendship?! Okay..... Maybe now isn't such a good time to- "Hide...? You okay? You don't look to well..." Kaneki handed me my water bottle. "Oh- Uhh~ I guess I'm just hungry or something." I reply, awkwardly rubbing the back of my head.

"Well- We could go get some food if you want..."

"NO! I mean.. er? Later... HeHe.."

Crap! This is really awkward.. Kaneki's giving me the most strange expression.

"You sure you're okay...?" Kaneki's eyes filled with worry. I should just tell him the truth already... "Kaneki.... There's something I gotta tell you... I... I really like you. MORE than just a childhood friend." I quickly cover my face//eyes, trying my hardest not to peek and see Kaneki's expression. I wonder what expression he's making right now.

"Hide...?" Kaneki muttered. A pair of warm, familiar arms wrap around me.
"I'm glad you said that... I really like you too. I like you a lot actually." His hot breath tickles my neck as me mumbled those words into me.

"But... Do you think this relationship could work out...?"

My eyes widen. To be honest, I don't think it will....

I'm thinking 'bout throwing this FF away and writing up my own yaoi..
