Draco sat anxiously at the table, so far four different servants had served. None of which were Hermione.

Lady Lily noticed how fidgety the young man was, he was picking his goblet up then putting it straight back down. He constantly looked at the clock. He kept checking his appearance in the back of his spoon, he had also visibly paled. She decided to try and make conversation with him.

"My, my Lord Draco. Your mother was telling me earlier of your last hunting expedition in the western forests, it sounds so dangerous." Lily said with interest.

Draco cleared his throat. "It's just Draco actually and dangerous as it may be, I'm quite used to it. My father has been taking me on such expeditions since I was a young child." He finished with a charming smile before glancing at the floor.

Lily smiled in return. "Does your fiancée not worry about you while away on such dangerous travels?" She asked with fake concern.

"I don't actually have a fiancée-" Draco started before Narcissa cut in.

"Oh Please! I have taken him to see every girl in the whole entire kingdom of Diagon and not one is to his satisfaction." She said exasperated.

"Oh my!" Lily giggled. "Not one? My Harry has just started courting Lady Ginevra Weasley this past fortnight. Although they have always been quite fond of each other."

"Oh really?" Narcissa asked widening her eyes. "Does Lady Ginevra have any friends suitable for Draco?"

"Suitable?" Lily asked cautiously.

"You know. Pureblooded?" Narcissa asked.

Draco rolled his eyes and muttered. "Preposterous pureblood prejudices." Under his breath.

Lily looked over at him concerned. "Why Lady Narcissa? Must she be of pureblood? We have so many lovely halfblooded and muggleborn witches in this kingdom, talented ones at that." Lily asked.

Draco smirked at the Lady of Gryffindor, she knew. He was sure of it.

"Oh Lady Lily, you know I hold no prejudice against the muggleborns, it's just that.... Lucius and his family are quite the traditionalists." Narcissa said taking a sip of wine from her goblet.

"You know Lady Narcissa..." Lily paused taking the last sip of her wine. "...sometimes traditions are to be broken."

Draco hid a snort. When his mother turned away Lady Lily caught his eyes and gestured silently with her head to look over his shoulder. Draco looked back and standing right behind him was Hermione. She was dressed in a red dress, like all of the other female servants. Her silky copper coloured hair was in a loose high bun on top of her head with strands of hair framing her goddess like face.

Draco's breath hitched at the sight of her. She held a tray which held a selection of wines. Draco looked back at the clock, 11:22. Hermione followed his eyes, he looked back at her and winked. She smiled.

He noticed Lady Lily giving her a slight nod. Hermione stepped forward, towards Lady Lily with the wines.

"Your highness." Hermione curtsied gracefully and offered her superior as a bottle of her favourite wine.

All eyes were on Hermione, even Lucius's.

"How thoughtful of you, dearest Hermione, you went to the trouble of bringing my favourite wine. All the way from Londsmeade town?" Lily said sweetly.

"Of course Madame." Hermione smiled graciously.

Hermione poured the Lady of the house a goblet of wine and repositioned herself in her previous spot.
