Broken Wings

Takano woke in a room he hasn't seen. Immediately bolting up only to hold his torso in aggravating pain. Still he looked around with one person in mind.
"Ritsu!"
He stopped and noticed the smell, it smelled of plastic, chemicals and bleach. He noticed the band on his arm with the bar code.
"Am I in a hospital?"
The memories of what had happened hours before flashed across his mind, slumping back he let a sigh escape.
'Ritsu's safe, that's all that matters.'
Takano pushed aside his sheets, only when he stood the IV was torn out of his vien. He screamed internally.
"Shit!"
He held his arm as it bled a bit. Still he continued towards the door,
"Where's Onodera?"
he opened it a bit and poked his head out, seeing no one he decided he would go ask over his lovers whereabouts. Reading the signs, he made his way to the front desk, he went up to the lady.
"Excuse me, but may I know what room Onodera Ritsu is being kept in?"
The lady at the desk was in purple scrubs that had candy and hearts all over, her blonde hair tied in a messy bun without looking up from her computer,
"Room 45a second floor sweetcheeks."
Takano made a mental note of how he would pay her back. Then staggered to the elevator, he pressed the down button and awaited patiently, a little girl ran from behind and hugged his leg. The little girl had black long hair tied up in a braid, she had two hello kitty ear rings and bring hazel eyes. Her outfit consisted of a white shirt with green short sleeves, dark blue jeans, and shoes with lights.
"Papa!!"
"Sheri come back here."
Called a voice from behind. The little girl squealed and ran away screaming. There stood a slender woman who had very similar facial features as the little girl.
"Bye daddy!!"
Takano chuckled as he boarded the elevator pressing the two button.
"Won't it be nice to adopt a child Ritsu?"
Takano whispered as the doors closed. Takano rushed to Room 45a the door was closed, he opened it slowly only to hear a soft voice answer.
"It's fine I'm awake now."
Takano swung opened the door only to stop dead in his tracks upon seeing Ritsu plugged into a few tubes.
"Takano-san you finally woke up!"
Ritsu said softly his eyes shining.
"What do you mean Darling?"
Takano said holding back tears.
"You entered a delicate state and the doctors didn't think you'd wake up anytime soon. I was so scared."
Onodera's voice cracked and tears rolled down his cheeks. Takano shook his head not believing a bit word Onodera said.
"Your a bit loopy aren't you?"
Takano said, walking over and pulling the wheel stool so he could sit and hold Onodera's right hand.
"N-no they took me off yesterday. You shouldn't be here the nurse will worry if she goes to check on you and your missing. Plus you might open your stitches."
Takano looked and saw that that was indeed true. After a moment of comprehending he finally asked.
"How long has it been?"
Then he noticed most of Onodera's bruises and cuts were healed or healing.
"It's been a few days."
"I already talked to the police. It turns out that Aio left days ago, left the door unlocked and even bus tickets for us to get back home, they're still searching for her."
"Ritsu that's-"
"Mr. Takano-san you must'nt leave your room!"
Takano was taken back into his room and a lady from the front told him that he only had to stay a few more days before discharge though he would need a follow up with his primary physician. As for Ritsu he was to say till he was strong enough to stand without fainting. Takano had called work asking if they had been fired.
"Of course not your skills are irreplaceable, and Ritsu is such a promising young man."
Takano sighed with relief. He said thank you after he was informed Yokozowa would bring him the manuscript. Takano went back to bed, apologizing to the nurse for ripping the IV out. The next few days went by slowly. Takano would wake up, shower, go eat breakfast with Ritsu, whenever possible.
