Authors note: Hey everyone I'm back with another chapter, school's been hella busy but still managing to post, it'll probably only still be once a week though sorry :c I had free time to write this before I fell asleep so hope you like. The book is coming to an end but I will write more haha :D
Hope it's not too boring :v c'x have a good day peoples.

The basement was dark and eerie. The half broken planks of wood lay rotting in the corners. Jumbled up green and red cables pile up against the coatrack, blocking many of the withered clothing. You had to be careful walking amongst the floorboards, otherwise you'll hit a black rock bottom surface. Old medicine formulas scatter among the metallic shelves further on into my dangerous maze adventure. You get the aroma of toxic chemicals diffusing around the basement. It harshly blocks your fragile nostrils until you can't breathe for a while. I almost passed out.
Cardboard boxes pile up and up against the empty furnace laying in the most isolated section of the basement. The temperature seemingly drops below average so I rummage through the cardboard boxes and toast my boney hands off the heat. I stare into the miniature blazing fire reminiscing to the previous days remembering how everything was partly alright but also tolerable. Now, it's just turned into a zombie massacre, involving snuff films and the death of my ghostly parents.
I knew this peacefulness was going to be broken sooner or later but the few moments I had nostalgically thinking about the ups and downs of my bizarre childhood, but also about the present. I feel like I've been casted in a movie for Texas chainsaw massacre the remake but only this isn't a movie, this is real life.
I hear banging footsteps stomping over me on the above floor level so I quickly gather into a sneaky hiding spot once again. I make sure my body is unnoticeable but also looking for a mini view so I can overlook where and what the zombies are doing. I pray to god they don't choose the basement though. It would be a tragedy dying young. But I am willing to take that chance. It's every person for themselves in this situation.
The cardboard boxes we're my last resort for a sneaky hiding spot. You could get an almost clear view of your surroundings but also stay pretty well hidden. I wrap my warm arms around myself, giving myself an affectionate hug one more time, and await the attackers. I hunch up my knees against the wall but over viewing everyone's single step who approaches the basement. The basement stairs are chestnut brown, there's a minature light dangling above them which is positive. You can identify the person's face or appearance since the light is there. Cold sweats and anxiety rushes throughout my fragile weak body as I inhale and exhale deep sighs over and over until I run out of energy.
The banging noises disappear, I think, maybe.. just maybe, the zombies have lost hope and looked elsewhere but I was deeply wrong. The basement door creaks open, sending hot shivers down my spine. I hold in my breath tightly and try not to make any sudden movements. I hear not one but many footsteps. I withhold zombies ferociously crawling backwards down the fragile creaky brown steps. They scatter around the basement searching for prey to eat, or humans to torture.
Their bloodthirsty eyes send electric tremors through my body as I back away further into the darker corner quietly. My body is hidden but my vision is clear. Broken cigars and half empty filled lighters lay beside me, still useable but rusty and rotted. A weird sensation crawls on my hand and I urgently jump but do not spark attention, to my surprise it's a big black spider. My fear of them only makes it ten times worse. I flick it and it eventually crawls away. I imagine a plan involving the lighters since they can create fires and such, but nothing comes to my vivid mind.
The zombies seemingly give up and proceed to crawl and abnormally walk back up the stairs. In my view I can see the spider from earlier crawling up the stairs too. It seems very strange. Out of no where, the spider leaps onto a female zombies leg and chews in to pieces.. like a dog playing with a rubber toy. I scream cuffing my hands over my mouth so no noise alerts them. Although the zombies legs we're already badly burned and covered in green and purple scabs. Blood gushes like a violent waterfall down the stairs. They scream in fright but stay standing. The zombie girl falls backwards and her spines snaps in a diagonal type of way. It's not only morbid but sickening to witness. The spine almost comes out of her fragile back.
The other zombies don't dare to help her as it's too late. They dart out of the basement slamming the door behind them. The spider crawls over to me, portraying an almost creepy but happy grin. 'Hello' it speaks. 'Um.. hi.' I say. 'Is your name Dalia?' It speaks again. 'Um, yes it is. why? how do you know?'. 'Oh, everyone knows your name around here, well most do.' It speaks in an even lower voice. 'Right. Okay. Um.. These is really creepy. I have a deadly fear of spiders and your not really helping sorry. Why are you here again? And why did you savage the zombie girls leg to pieces?'. I speak in a lower pitch voice. 'I understand, I am sorry Dalia. I am here to save you from the creatures which are held out in the open, for the savage part, I am helping you, like I explained. We can't let you die, now can we? Oh, my name is Dexter by the way, my friends call me Dex'. Speaking in an excited tone. 'Friends? hmm okay. I don't know why you'd wanna save 'me' but I'm not going to question it. Lead me to paradise mr Dex'.
He winks cheekily and smiles leading me to the basement door, I use the half filled rotted away lighter and send the basement up in flames. I decide to puff out a cigarette as I distinguish from my natural habitat.
