Baelfire

I scan the boy then back away not giving him the sword back. The boy decides to get up.

"Nice work with the sword," Baelfire tries to lighten the mood dusting himself off.

"It's a dagger. How did you get a pirates sword?"

"How can you tell it's a pirates sword?" He tilts his head asking the question.

"Because, I use to be a thief. I've seen many swords from guards, from the ones merchants sell. And I've only seen this particular sword once before. This is the sword from Hook's ship, he gives them to his crew!"

"How do you know it's one of Hook's swords?" He asks seeming surprised by my knowledge.

"Peter Pan has one he took from him."

"Peter Pan?" He says, "and who is he?"

"He's one of me one of everyone on the island. He's a lost boy, but more like the king of Neverland, but there isn't any kings on Neverland."

"Wow you know a bit about this place."

"Well I've been here for a while."

"Really? How long?"

I begin to walk around the underground cave, "um a couple months, but that would be if only time didn't stand still," I touch my fingers to the markings on the wall. "How long have you been here?" I turn to face him who is a little way from where I stand.

"Um.. Each marking stands for one day sunrise to sun fall, that's only how long I've been on the island for, but I've been in this general place for a while."

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"I was on Captain Hook's ship for a couple months or so."

"Well that answers how you got the sword. How did you get there?" I question the boy.

"I was taken somehow."

"Oh I understand," I reply remembering when I was taken.

"Yeah I woke up flying in the air by a dark figure.

"Peter's shadow," I nod.

"What? The king of Neverland," he puts air quotes around that, "his shadow took me?"

"Yeah," I nod slowly realising how crazy it sounds.

"I think that's kidnap!"

"I did too."

"It took you too?!"

"It took everyone on this island, I know not the best way to take someone but a lot of people ended up staying."

"What why? We were taken from our homes!"

"Baelfire-" I get cut off.

"You can call me Bae."

"Okay," I nod. "Bae, there are people here like us. The shadow took you cause it could see how alone and lost you were."

"Is that what happened to you?"

"Yeah, Peter gave me a present and I guess it revealed my true feeling about my situation and I was totally on guard when I got here, but I changed my mind, I realise it's not that bad. It's beautiful here, and there are people who care for me. Yes at first it may have been weird I was the only girl. But others were brought and they understood and were grateful."

"I got a rock, the night I was taken," He walks to the weird looking bowl and brings out a white murky rock and hands it to me.

"Wow. This is what Peter gave me," I say putting out my wrist for him to see the bracelet that started it all. "So the shadow was in the middle of bringing you when?"

"I pulled out a match and lit it and shined it on him."

"Oh, wow."

"Yeah. And he dropped me in the water and then next thing I remember is being on a pirate ship and seeing Hook and his crew."

"Wow, sorry for repeat that, but just wow is all I can say." Baelfire chuckles at me. "So why did you leave the pirate ship?"

"Because, my papa told me a pirate had killed my mother, too many bad memories to stay with one, opened the wound."

"Oh I understand. Peter had told me a story of a women who Captain Hook allowed to join the crew, and I heard she was the dark ones partner and when he became the dark one he had decided to kill her..." I look back up at Baelfire who's face had no expression at all. "It's a sad story."

Bae shakes his head as if the information I just spoke of was incorrect. "It can't be.."

"What?" Bae looks up at me.

"My mother was killed by a pirate..."

"Well that's just a story I heard I didn't think I would be your mother."

Bae looks up at me, "no," he sighs, "it is... My father is the dark one."

A/N:Short chapter but here is an update now that schools back in writing is going to be hard ugh
