   As I sat on my bed, I waited and waited for a notification that the boy who saved my life would follow me. Even though the chances were slim, I wasn't going to give up. I had been a fan of One Direction for 5 years now, and I didn't plan on stopping anytime soon. I live in America, so that means I couldn't watch them while they were on the X-Factor. My friend in England would always watch it, and video it for me.

   Me and my best friend hung out everyday after school, and today we did our usual routine. After school, she drove us to a frozen yogurt place. We took our yogurt to go and went back to my house. We switched off between frozen yogurt and Dairy Queen every other day.

   We always came to my house after school, because her home life wasn't so good. Her dad was an angry drunk and abused her quite frequently. Her mother died when she was 13 years old. These 3 years have been hard on her, and because of that they were hard on me. My parents let Maya stay with us whenever she needed. Her dad would emotionally and physically abuse her. He would say things like 'It's your fault your mom died' or call her names and say bad things about her like 'You're fat and don't deserve love'. The way he made her feel made me so sad, and I couldn't do anything about it. We have tried adopting her, but her dad pulls himself together all too well whenever we go to court.

   "BROOKLYN" I hear maya yell from my room.
"WHAT MAYA" I screamed from my bathroom.
"GET IN HERE RIGHT NOW" she said. I ran in hoping everything was okay. She threw me my phone and told me to check my Twitter. I clicked on the app and went on to my notifications. I soon as I see the top notification, I was on my knees crying. Liam Payne just followed me.

   About two hours later I had stopped crying, and I decided to DM him. I sent him a dm just simply saying thank you for following and saving my life. I had suffered from depression before they were a band, and I still have to take antidepressants. One Direction is the only reason my smile is genuine. Any other time I'm smiling it's either fake, or its because of my fake happiness, AKA my pills. I have tried to kill myself 2 times, both times Maya had come to my rescue.

   I decided to DM Liam once more saying "Goodnight Liam thank you for all that you do. I love you so much and still can't believe you followed me. You, and your band, make me so much happier. You're the reason I'm still alive." and with that I put down my phone and went to bed.

I'm also in love with Halsey, Josh Devine, and Ollie Green if you can't tell bc the title is actually a song off of their new EP lol. okay so this is my 2nd book i have done the first I deleted bc it sucked so badly I hope this one is better.
