"Evie?" Lily said quietly, shaking me. "Why do you wake Evie up so gentle-like?" Marlene complained. I yawned and rubbed my eyes, only to see the face of Marlene looking at me very annoyed.
"Hmm?" I muttered quietly. "Why are you so adorable? About three guys turned me down because of you." Marlene grunted. I laughed quietly and got up. "I wish Lily would wake me up like she wakes you up." Alice groaned. She was half hanging off her bed, her hair blown back.
"What did Lily do to you guys?" I asked. "She shakes us violently." Alice replied, scowling at a triumphant looking Lily.
"I'm going to get dressed." I said to everyone, grabbing my clothes (Which I prepared last night) and walked into the bathroom.
After getting ready and helping Lily fix her hair, we all were on our way to the Great Hall. "Hey babe." Black grinned, slithering his arm around my waist.
"Leave her alone, Black." Marlene growled. "I will when she says so." Black smirked, knowing I don't talk to anyone but my friends. "I think we all know she want you to leave her alone." Alice chimed in. Lily nodded.
My face was flushing as I stepped away from Black, very slowly. "Aww, don't be like that." Black smiled, moving closer to me. I took a deep breath and restrained myself from crying.
Lily must have spotted this, because she pulled Black away and shoved him into some Hufflepuff boy. It wasn't until she did that that I noticed the Great Hall staring.
"Thanks, Lily" I whispered. "No problem." She whispered back. I smiled gratefully to the girls, which they returned.
We all headed to our seats on the far left end, closest to the teachers table. We sat down and started to eat, Marlene and Alice gossiping, Lily disapproving of this, and me just listening.
"Did you hear of Tyler Clark? I heard he got hot over the summer!" Marlene exclaimed, gazing over to the Ravenclaw table. "Please, I have Frank." Alice cooed. "Please don't go all lovey-dovey. At least wait till we are all done eating." Lily moaned.
I nodded a little, a small smile on my face. "Honestly, Lils, I'm surprised Potter hasn't-" Marlene stopped mid sentence and dropped her gaze from behind me. I peeked behind me and spotted Potter, snogging Kayla Classic. I squeaked and decided to distract Lily.
"Hey Lily." I said nervously. "Hm?" She asked. "We should go, you know...um....study?" I suggested. "Why?" Alice asked. I shook my head at her. "Please Lily? I really need help on my...er...Potions homework."'I concluded. "Oh, alright." Lily gave in.
I smiled at her and rushed her out of the Great Hall, the others following quickly behind. "Phew." Marlene sighed. "What? Why are you all in such a hurry?" Lily asked, confused. I didn't answer her. At least the girls and I have a free period first thing.
"Can you tell me what's going on?" Lily yelled. The girls glanced at me, knowing I can't keep a secret. Especially from Lily. "James-er...." I started. "James was coming up to you with lilies." I lied quickly. The girls looked at me impressed.
"Oh. Thanks then." Lily sighed looking relieved. "Wait...potions? I thought you were getting better...?" Lily asked. She was right. I was getting better, I finished my potion second yesterday. "Yeah, well...um....I need help....looking over my essay?" I said, more like a question.
Lily eyes me then nodded suspiciously, walking up the stairs. Marlene grabbed my wrist and pulled me with with her.
We all walked to the portrait, which we forgot the password. Luckily, Lily knew it (Like always). We all stepped in, greeted by the Marauders.
"Evans!" Potter greeted. "Hallows!" Black greeted the same way. Remus rolled his eyes at Black and walked up to me. "Hey." He whispered. "You okay?" He asked. I sniffed and nodded.
"Girls." Remus acknowledged, nodding to Alice, Marlene and Lily, who all grinned. "I have to steal your best friend for today, unfortunately." Remus told my friends. "But we were gonna-" they started to ramble on about how they were going to try to put makeup on me, and make me wear a dress, and stuff like that.
"Mm-mm." Remus shook his head, taking my hand in his and rushing out of the common room.
" Thanks." I breathed. "No problem." Remus grinned.
