*Cora's POV*
I watched him walk away and my heart fluttered. I've never felt this way around someone before. I could never dream of him feeling the same way, he sees so many other pretty girls everyday. "Harry!" Girls started screaming his name.
I sighed. "I'm in love with a celebrity." I mumbled under my breath. A girl, younger than me, sat herself down beside me. "Are you with Harry?" She asked in a bitchy voice. "I-I" I stuttered. "He would never like you anyway, your not pretty, your short too. He could do way better then your worthless life." there it was the stab to my heart. "Hes just going to find a better girl." she flipped her hair, got up and left.
*Harry's POV*
This was an energizing crowd! Finally hospital workers were clearing out the fans. I was finally talking with the boys and telling them everything. I pointed over to where i left Cora. She was looking around curiously. Suddenly a girl came and sat down next to her. My heart lifted. 'Maybe she is making friends.' I hoped.
The girl was talking close to Cora's head. I slowly took in Cora's posture. It looked like she was getting stabbed. "I'll be right back." I told the boys, they looked at me curiously and a little worry was on all their faces, but I didn't care, I just cared about Cora right now.
I started walking towards her as the girl walked away from her. Cora looked up and spotted me coming towards her. She stood up, teetered a bit. I smiled, thinking she was starting towards me. Instead she took off running in the opposite direction, right out of the cafeteria.
*Cora's POV*
I couldn't let him see me like this. Maybe if I can hide long enough, he'll forget about me, find someone better. I ran around corners and down hallways.
Harry was running after me, but I'm not sure if he kept following. My head was spinning. I was in a quiet part of the hospital. There were no people here. Maybe it was deserted. I tripped and fell to the ground. I dragged myself over to the corner of the room, and wrapped my arms around my legs.
I placed my head in my lap and began crying. "Cora." I heard Harry huff. I didn't look up, I just wanted him to go away, but yet deep in side I just wanted him to hold me. "Cora, what's wrong?" I held my legs tighter and tried to stop crying.
"Please talk to me." his voice broke." My life is worthless." I sobbed quietly. Harry slid down the wall so he was sitting next to me. "Is that what that girl told you?" I nodded in response. "And more." he put his arm around me and pulled me into his chest.
"I'm tired of you not knowing how much I care, I'm tired of seeing you hurt, I hope this is for the better but here it goes. I care about you, a lot." "I know you care Harry. And I am so grateful for it. I said looking into his beautiful eyes. "I still don't think you know how much." he said then closed the distance between us.
Next thing I knew, his warm, perfect lips were on mine. I melted into him. He smiled against my lips. He reluctantly pulled away. "I know we only met but lets pretend it's love." Harry sang softly. "I'm so happy to have you in my life." Harry said softly, reading my reactions. I smile so big I'm surprised my lips didn't crack or break. "Me too. I don't know what I'd do without you." he kissed me again filling me with warmth and an electric current I only got when I touched him.
"The boys will be worried. I think they're really excited to meet you too." I smiled again. "You think so?" Harry nodded while bitting his lip in the sexiest way. He got up and pulled me to my feet. As we stated walking Harry put his arm around my waist and pulled me close to him. Then he swung me up bridal style. I let out a quiet yelp. Harry just laughed.
"How are you feeling?" He asked looking into my eyes. "I'm great." Harry rolled his eyes. "Put the kiss aside, think clearly, I know I have an amazing kiss, but please tell me how your feeling." "It was an alright kiss." I joked. "Oh yeah? How do you know, you've never kissed anyone before." We smiled at each other until his face turned serious. "okay, my head hurts a little from when I tripped, but I think I will feel a lot better when I get food in me." a worried expression passed over his face. "I'm glad I'm carrying you then." he smiled at me.
I rested my head on his chest and he kissed my forehead gently. "Cora?" I blinked my eyes, realising I had fallen asleep while he was holding me. "Sorry." I said wiping my eyes. "Don't be, your tired. I just thought that you would like to walk into the cafeteria and not get carried in." He raised an eyebrow at me. "oh yes, thanks."
"You're still tired after sleeping so much?" Harry asked. I nodded as he hugged me tighter before carefully putting my feet on the ground. "I didn't sleep very well, I guess I was restless when I was out of it. i was.... scared and didn't feel safe, i guess. i was and I guess still am scared that my mother is going to come hurt me again." I told him in a shaky voice. His face turned serious.
"I won't let her hurt you, ever. And on that note, I want you to stay with me and the boys, you'll have your own room and everything, but I want to protect you, I know you already were coming, but I want to make sure that you haven't changed your mind." He linked his fingers in mine and smiled down at me. "Of course I'll still come with you. we should probably go though, so i can meet the guys." i said smiling.
