Nicole's POV:
I was standing and resting my elbows at the top of the counter inside the pharmacy waiting for the lady to finish packing the supplements I bought inside the bag. Then my phone beep inside my purse I immediately pulled it out to check if it was my mom. My eyebrows knitted when I saw an unknown number flashing on my screen. I open it to read it's content
"Hello Ms Grace I would like to discuss an important matter with you. Please come to my office. -Prof. West"
"And what is the important matter he's talking about?" I asked myself.
"If it's about what happened inside your office 2 months ago Mr. West, I'm telling you I already considered that it didn't happen." I replied and shoved it back inside my purse.
I will still love your songs coz honestly they we're all good but not you anymore Thomas!!! You only proved me that you ain't worth to love.
He didn't reply on my text... good! But there's a part of me thats still hoping to get a response from him. Stupid teenage hormones!!!
I came home and saw my mother sitting outside our veranda. In a very short span her physical appearance totally changed. Dark circles under her eyes, chopped lips, pale skin.
She didn't glanced on my way when I sat down on the chair acrossed to her side. She must be in a deep thoughts.... I remember the last time we sat here.... the time when she gave the surprise tickets for Luke's concert... we're both happy... everything is perfect that time... mom is healthy and cheerful....
I watched her for awhile before I broke the silence...
"Mom?" I called out. I tried my best not to cry.. It wouldn't help her to see people around her we're crying because she's dying.
"Yes honey?" She answered but still not looking on my way.
I felt my heart was ripped into tiny million pieces.. I know it's really hard for her to accept that she will leave anytime soon with no chances of coming back.... And GOD knows it was hard for me and dad too ...
"Ha-how do you feel mom?..." I asked. Even I knew that she's not fine.
".....I-I'm just fine Nicole.... I feel.... exhausted.. ." She said.
"I still believe in miracles mom..... they do happen everyday right? You told me that remember?" I said. She chuckled and looked at me..
"Yes they do sweetheart.... you are my living proof of that" she said with a sad smile on her face.
I couldn't hold my tears anymore I pushed myself up from the chair and went towards her. I kneeled down beside her and laid my head on her lap and wrapped my left arm around her thighs. I silently cried then she gently brushed my hair with her fingers.. and hummed the song that she used to sing to me when I was a little... I'm gonna miss this... I'm gonna miss everything with her....
