Landon:

It's 10:00 AM when I start my shift at the local music store. I've been working here since I started high school. I'm pretty good friends with the owner, Ed. It's mainly just me and him that work the store, you'd be surprised at how many teeny bobers can't manage to stack CD's.

Ed's probably one of the coolest people I know! He's got these rad colored tattoos up and down his arms and a nice mop of red hair. He's a short dude but don't let his height fool you, he can play the guitar like no other! It's truly amazing, I've always wondered why he hasn't displayed his talents to the world? He would get signed to a record label in a heart beat! Not to mention that his voice is pretty rad too.

"So Lan, when you finally getting out of this place?" Ed was sat at the front desk as I looked through some new records.

"I'm still $300 short but hopefully it's not long until I'm able to leave this city" I sighed.

I've always wanted to leave my home when I got older. To explore new places and never come back. My problem has never been Seattle, it's the constant "no's " to anything and everything from my parents, all the people around me that tell me I'm not good enough to be who I want to be, and the painful memories that drag behind me every turn I take. I just need a fresh start. The longer I stay here, I'm just gonna keep getting worse and worse.

"I know you always refuse, but I'm always happy to help you out" Ed insisted for the hundredth time.

"Thank you...again but you know I can't take your money. I would have to pay you back and I love ya dude but I don't want to have any reasons to come back once I leave." I bluntly stated

As I finished putting the records I had pulled out back on the shelf, I heard the little bell ring, signalling that someone had opened the door.

"Well isn't it just my favourite person in the world!" I hear Brinley's voice and I'm greeted with a smile.

"What are you doing here?" I laugh, watching her playfully strut towards me. I see someone walk in behind her and the smile' s wiped right off my face.

There he is, the tall attractive guy...I mean Luke. He's wearing black covers and black jeans. And his grey hoodie makes his blue eyes even more mesmerizing...if that's even possible? uuhhgg and his hair is productless and fluffy. Fuck get yourself together Landon, he's just a guy! I shake my head back into reality and grab Brinley's arm.

"What the hell is he doing here!?" I hiss and before Brinley can answer me, Luke approaches us.

"Hello Landon" he nods toward me. "I'm a little saddened I still haven't gotten a ring from you. Did I scare you that badly?" He smirked and pulled his lip ring between his lips.

"No you didn't scare me" I mocked. "And what the hell is a ring?" I started to walk away.

"It means phone call" Brinley said to me then turning to Luke..."You're in America now dude! Dumb it down with the Aussie talk." she patted Luke's arm and he just rolled his eyes.

"Okay seriously what are you doing here?" I asked

"Well Luke and Aj were hanging at my house and I wanted to see you soooo I made Aj drive me here." Brinley said shrugging her shoulders.

" I didn't realize that you knew Aj?" I looked at Luke.

"Yeah we go way back. His parent's time share in Australia was across the street from my house." He stated coolly like it was no big deal.

"Hey Ed! I'm stealing Landon for the rest of the day. Hope you don't mind!" Brinley yelled and pulled me towards the door.

" Brin I can't just lea-"
