When i woke up it was already morning. The sun was shining brightly and there was no sign of clouds as if it hadn’t rain yesterday. My head was throbbing; i blinked and then tried to recall what put me in this position.
Then it all came back, me leaving the house for some goddamn fresh air and being lost on a solitary road, being hit on the head and seeing that janitor smiling.
Bloody fucking janitor!
He tried to kill me!
I looked around and found myself at the backyard of someone’s house. I stood and cleared my t-shirt off the dirt and then saw that the house or rather a cottage was very small. My room was bigger than it. The backyard was empty, there was no grass on the ground, only mud everywhere. The weather was hot and then i heard few murmuring and sobbing noises from the house.
Not wanting to look suspicious i bent down a little and tip-toed towards the window facing the backyard to hear them. I peeked and saw a small girl sitting on a chair and a middle aged woman probably the child’s mother bending and sobbing.
From what it looked like there was only one room and two doors one was the entrance/exit and the other was the door to bathroom. The room looked poor and empty as if someone had taken everything out of them. The cemented walls were full of cracks as if they were centuries old. There were only two chairs and one small bed. The sobbing became louder and i crouched myself below the window to hide myself and listen to them. I had a bad feeling about this.
This time i concentrated on the two and saw that the girl was probably not more than four years. She was beautiful and very much like sunshine. Something about her was very natural for me as if i know who she is but couldn’t pinpoint it. The mother was just like her daughter beautiful naturally. The lines of worry and sadness in their faces was shadowing both of theirs beauty.
“Mommy what is it? Please! Tell me why are you crying?” the girl said while hugging her.
“I love you Sisi.” The mother replied.
“I love you too mommy.” The girl replied. So her name was Sisi, i thought.
“Never let go of me.” Her mother pleaded with desperation.
“Yes mommy, i promise.” Sisi said quickly.
Then her mother wiped her tears and looked straight into her eyes saying “Sisi i am crying because i’m betrayed. Your father left us. He betrayed both you and me. He doesn’t love us anymore.” Sisi started shaking and crying hysterically and her mother joined her too. They were like this for a long time hugging each other soothing each other. I didn’t knew what the hell was going? So many questions were lingering in my mind. Where was i? Have they kidnapped me? which was a very rare possibility to me. How did i end up here? Has this got something to do with me? Who are these people? But i just listened waiting patiently to find out about something.
Suddenly the mother grabbed her tightly and kissed her on Sisi’s forehead “ Don’t cry my dear! I will be always be by your side. I love you and i will never leave you.”
Her mother stood and said with a determined expression on her face “ We have to leave this place. C’mon Sisi.” She reached for her hand which Sisi took immediately wiping her tears off her face. “ Lets start a journey together.”
The mother started packing even when there was almost nothing in the house to pack. On a small paper bag they took some off the things left in the house to keep and then went outside the house.

Wait for it fellas more is coming....

I waited a little bit and then when i confirmed there was no one i stood walked out of the backyard and entered the house. Everything was just the same as i saw from the window just more clear. Suddenly i was very thirsty but there was nothing to drink. I was not feeling well a very numb and queasy and sweaty feeling was creeping up. Just as i was looking around the room absent-mindedly in search of water i saw a photo hanging on the wall. It was tilted so i went near it to straight it. In the photo there was Sisi’s mom, Sisi and her father i guessed. The photo didn’t looked old unlike now they were all in good shape standing close to each other and smiling and the house behind them was a bigger than this one and looked highly maintained. They looked richer and happy than now. The father was a tall dark man and he was fine.
I once again looked at Sisi as if i was drawn to her, even when she was speaking before her voice soft and musical seemed recognizable to me. Now looking at her again i can say i have seen this face but where? Then i looked at her mother, there was a striking resemblance between the two. I took out the photo from its frame and tugged it inside my pocket.
Since there was no use of standing and looking at an empty house i left it and went outside to search for them. There was this rush inside me to go follow the mother-daughter pair.
My watch was showcasing the time 12pm in this scorching heat. Sisi and her mother were nowhere and i was starting to get restless. There were houses to my both right and left but they were all in the same condition. Robbed and empty. Nobody was on the road or in any of those houses. My thirst for water was growing rapidly and Sisi was nowhere.
WHAT THE HELL!!!!
I have to get out of this place. It has started getting on my mind body and soul. I was again walking not knowing where it was leading me. Today is a very important day i thought. I have to go to the office as Sebastian Hale and inspect everything. Emma has to be thrown out of the company. From the likes of the people it would not be considered good. Even James will be completely opposed. I had thought of asking Sarah about this, she would have come up with a good solution. But after all what happened i forgot to ask her. Also when she wakes up she will not find me in the house. She will get worried. I wanted to see her, to see her face what she said last night was not over me. I needed her for everything, when she smiles it reassures me that what i am doing was right. She is the only one who’s spoiled me so badly. I was still thinking of Sarah when i realized something and took out the photo out of my pocket.
I saw the photo once again.
Are you fucking kidding me??!!!
Sisi is……my Sarah?
