“I-I just needed some time.” As i said Elena’s face became upset and guilty but i can’t just tell her everything not before i find whats happening. She nodded and continued eating.  I  sighed, i’m sorry Sarah but not now later i’ll tell you- i made a promise to myself and went to put the dishes in the sink.

“The servants will be coming tomorrow.” She said in a small voice. I just nodded and went to my room. I remembered about my inspection yesterday and i didn’t want to go today so i called Elena since she holds half of the company’s share. I’ll insist her to go. I called sister and told her to inspect the company today on my behalf.

I took my laptop and propped on my favorite couch in the drawing room with Sarah sitting on the other one with her laptop.

“You should probably take a rest and don’t go office today.” She suggested.

“Yeah i already called Elena and told her to go on my behalf telling her information about the company.” I replied.

“Good.” She said and gave me a small smile. Maybe she is still feeling sad.

I quickly searched images of Phoenix’s past wanting to confirm the area i saw was in phoenix or not and there it was on Google maps the colony i was searching. The photo was burning in my pocket and i was itching to ask Sarah about her past. But she will suspect something and so far she hasn’t pressed any questions about my disappearance. Is it because she blames herself for this? Or is it because she is giving me some privacy while also giving me a choice? Maybe she just doesn’t care.

“Sarah where were you used to live?” i asked.

“I used to live in phoenix before.” She said not bothering to look up from her laptop.

“Is this the reason that you were hesitating to come to phoenix with me?” i asked or probably guessed it aloud.

“Yeah sort of.” Her voice was again emotionless.

“Why?” i asked.

Then Sarah looked towards me “ Sebastian, Phoenix reminds me of my parents and that is something i don’t want to dwell with.” She said and regained whatever she was doing with her laptop. It was obvious she didn’t want to push the subject but i was not finished not when she is finally saying something to me about herself.

“What was your nickname if you had any?” i asked hoping to confirm my guess about Sisi and wanting to make the tense atmosphere lighter.

She smiled and said as if remembering a fond memory “Mom used to call me Sisi.” She shifted in her seat and asked “ Why all of a sudden you are asking this?”

What to say? Not giving her the whole truth and also not completely lying. I decided to say what i was feeling “ Nothing, just curious.”

“Oh.” She said and started working again.

Suddenly my phone started ringing.

“Hey sister, hows it going?” i asked.

“ It was fine until i told Emma to pack up with someone else.” She said worriedly.

“Yeah what happened?” i asked.

“Two or three people opposed it and i told them sternly to back off but they wouldn’t bulge.” She said sounding tensed.

“Is James was one of them?” i asked hoping to get a good answer.

“No, Andy, Jefferson and Mr Harris were the ones who opposed.” She replied.

“Okay go outside your room. Fire Emma and don’t end the call. Put me on hold so i can listen, if anybody again opposes, let me on loudspeaker and i’ll talk to them through the mike.”
