Chapter 4: Not So Bad After All
I fell asleep but Jake wakes me up around 9am telling me we're almost there. After driving through a forest we pull up to this big house. No its more like a mansion. Anyways, it's got this big green grass yard and is surrounded by trees. The house is gorgeous and has different sections of the house. As we pull up a girl about my age walks out of the home. She has blonde hair that's long and wavy. Her blue eyes are exactly like Jake's and Alpha Paul's so I'm going to guess she's his sister.

"Jake! You're here! I thought for sure now that you're the president of Dad's company you wouldn't come visit me. I don't know why Mom and Dad make me stay here. It's so boring." She pauses and looks at me. "Aww did my big brother finally find himself a girlfriend? She must be pretty special for you to bring her here." She walks up to me and eyes me up and down.

"Does she know about wolves?" I lean in and whisper to Jake. He just laughs. What it's a good question. She's acting like she has no clue. Jake speaks up.

"Elie, this is Lilly. Lilly this is Elie. Elie is my little sister. Oh and to answer your question, Elie, Lilly is my mate." Ellie lifts one of her perfectly groomed eyebrows.

"So she's the one, huh? This is the girl you've been talking about all these years?" All these years? What does she mean by that? We're only known we're mates for a few weeks at most. At least I have.

"Years?" I question accusing Jake. He runs his hands through his hair then rubs the back of his neck.

"Let's unpack, shall we?" He grabs my hand and takes me inside hurriedly. I stop in my tracks stubbornly and cross me arms pulling my hand out of his. He groans in annoyance.

"Jake Williams, how long have you known we're mates?" He turns around to face me.

"Since we were little. Since I have alpha blood in me I was able to sense my mate at an early age. I knew we obviously couldn't mate until you were at the age where you would be sense it. Then I was sent away for training and you hit the age while I was gone. I just hoped that you would accept me. I know that your quite and shy and I knew you probably would hate being Luna and being mated to me... I thought for sure you would reject me." His gaze met mine and I could see the genuine fear in his eyes. Fear of losing me. My wolf whimpered seeing him so terrified. She just wanted to take over and reassure our mate that we are his forever. She wants to complete the mating process. I don't even know what she means by that though.

Jake is now giving me a confused look and I realized I've been muttering this to myself. Well I guess he'd know the process, right? Maybe he can explain it to me.

"Jake, can I ask you something?"

"Of course, Flower. Ask anything." Here goes nothing.

"Howdowecompletethematingprocess?" I say it so quickly he doesn't even understand it.

"Slow down the words, Lilly. I can't understand what you're saying." I take a deep breath and let it out.

"How do we complete the mating process?" He smirks and looks at me weirdly.

"I forget you're so innocent sometimes." I glare at him. I'm not as innocent as I seem. I can be bad. I snuck out once...but then I felt bad so I went back home and told my family right away. The story about them is for another time.

"To finish the mating process I need to mark you as mine and have sex." I glare at him again. He is not getting in my pants nor do I really want to be marked.

"Don't worry, Flower, although it may seem like I'm an asshole, that's just the Alpha in me that wants to make you mine but I don't mind waiting until your ready. The sooner the better but either way is fine with me." Jake then does something that never in a million years I would have expected.

He puts a hand under my chin and tilts it up so we make eye contact. He leans in slowly and I close my eyes waiting for our lips to connect as my skin tingles under his touch. I feel his hot breath on my lips and my heart jumps a little. I wait for the impact of his lips on mine but instead I feel him pull away and his breath moves to my ear. He chuckles in a deep, husky voice that makes my heart skip a beat before he whispers in my ear.

"You're worth the wait." Before I open my eyes I feel his warm, luscious lips against my cheek. Who knew such a small peck on the cheek could make me melt at his touch.

Maybe, just maybe, living with him won't be so bad after all.

Random fact: a baby spider is called a spiderling.

I hate spiders. No idea why but they freak me out. The live ones at least. Anyways my birthday is in 4 days!!!! I'm going to finally be 18!! Oh and I think I'm falling in love with my best friend. Talk about a clique right? Best part is... I think he might be falling for me back! xD
