I woke to a feel a beautiful breeze sliding through my room. I engulfed the nice feeling air while I let out a loud yawn . I put my robe on and made my way downstairs to see my mama on the couch reading some papers.

"Good morning ma!"

"Good morning? Don't you mean good afternoon its three o clock."

"Oh well, but what you reading ?" I sat down beside her and tried peeking at it.

"Ah ah ah move young lady! You will learn what's going on when your father gets home."

"When is that ?"

"The same time as usual six o clock. Now get out my face ,go outside because Lindsey has called like forty times !"

"Ohhh okay !"

I ran upstairs and took a shower. Once I was done I got dressed in some black gym shorts with a white tank top and my Nike socks and sandals. Tomboyish I know. I put my hair in a high pony tail and made me way downstairs.

"Ight ma on out, be back at six! "

"K have fun. "

"Wait....where's my phone. "I looked around the room

"Over here...catch !"

"Got itttt! OK bye ma."

I made my way outside and walked to Lindsey's house. I knocked a couple of times then she answered.

"Bestfrannnn!!" I said as I hugged her

"I missed you boo ! You act like you couldn't answer the phone. "

"Girl you know I was sleeping. But are you coming out?"

"Yeah,and why you dressed like a nigga?" She said as she closed her front door

"Because I didn't feel like getting dressed up.."

"Girl you know I'm playing. But you still look cute!"

"Thanks boo. You don't look bad either !"

"Girl you know I try. But what's been going on with you and Camille ?"

"Whatcha mean?" I stopped in my tracks

"She said she don't like you because you be talking to David."

"What ! I don't want David. I been knowing David since I was like 7 and now I'm 15 fuck outta here with the bull. "

We both started walking back to our part of the neighborhood. I looked at the time and it read 5:57pm

"Aye I gotta start heading home."

"I know girl but my parents have something to tell me and my mom told me to come in at six."

We hugged each other than I went home. Soon as I walked in the house an aroma of sweet potatoes,ham,macaroni,and turnip greens filled the house. I slipped my sandals off and walked into the kitchen.

"Something smells amazing !" I said trying to taste the food

"Ah ah!" She slapped my hand. " go wash your hands I need you to set the table. "

"Okaaay. " I walked out the kitchen and into the bathroom . I washed my hands then went back into the kitchen. I set the table then my daddy walked in the house.

"Daaaaddddy!" I ran to him and hugged him

"Hi pumpkin. Something smells nice!"

" mmm! Mama can we eat now?"

"Yes come on."

We all sat down ,said grace then dug in. I looked at my mama then my daddy. "So what do y'all have to tell me?"

"Well as you know the business has went up entirely and they offered me 1.5 million. "
